on November 10, 2022
Located in the heat of SLC, the U is a perfect place to learn and grow. The university is big, beautiful, and well equipped for scientific experiments. Pay can be made a bit better. There is almost same salary for 5 years.

What is the best part of working at the company?Great processes and support from leadership until you are no longer "young enough". No value for the experienced, 50+ year old. You will be "managed out" What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Didn't know there was stress and really enjoyed my job until leaders I trusted turned on me and I didn't meet their definition of "youth" any longer. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It was great until about 2021 and then a new CEO was put in and many of the older, experienced staff members were "managed out". Other leadership who were once friends were moved to leadership positions because they were "young" have been told to push the agenda to get "older" leadership out. I was a great leader and loved by 90% of my staff but this didn't matter, I aged out and the U of U Hospital had a 650 million dollar COVID bill to pay back to the Federal Government by What is a typical day like for you at the company?I would work from 9 to 5 for the most part, 24 hour on-call, and every other weekend off.

The benefits were phenomenal and the best part about working for University of Utah. Culture in the department was rough with high turnover. Leadership was toxic and couldn't be trusted. Made for poor working conditions.
