Medical Office Assistant Senior (Former Employee) – Virginia – June 25, 2018
I was employed at a UPG satellite clinic for 15 years. It was absolutely the best job I’ve had except for my last year of employment there. The office went under new management who destroyed the place within a year. She got rid of all employees with 10 or more years of service. Changed the Family practice into a non caring, back stabbing place to work.
Analyst (Former Employee) – Charlottesville, VA – March 16, 2018
One big account receivables organization. Nothing more. Run like an old school accounting department, typical non-profit university organization not knowing what direction to go in. Most people work here either in the AR function, or to quickly move into a roll elsewhere in the health system.
Stressful job, poor management, high turnover. Poor training from day one. Incompetent staff, favoritism rampant, prima doña physicians. Management indecisive, focus on insignificant issues but miss major issues like staff with addiction issues. Strange since MD is so called addiction specialist. Run!!!
Patient Account Representative in June (Former Employee) – 500 Ray C Hunt Drive – October 26, 2017
UPG was a great place to work. You received excellent training as well as provided you with a dedicated person to ask questions. I was very happy at UPG for 13 years. The management team is very fair to their employees. There is room to grow and you receive incentives for a job well don't.
Medical Practice Manager (Current Employee) – Culpeper, VA – September 10, 2017
salaried position but I work over 50 hours per week, upper management in my area has no clue of day to day operations and is in constant conflict with physicians making it hard to perform my management role. company joined with Novant HealthCare. Currently being pulled in two trying to adhere to both companies. Impossible feat
Collection Specialist (Former Employee) – Charlottesville, VA – March 7, 2015
The 8 years with University of Virginia Physicians Group was an amazing experience providing customer support in busy call center & insurance processing environment. UPG allowed me to cultivate an unwavering commitment to customer service, with the ability to build productive relationships, resolve complex issues and win customer loyalty. Having advanced from an Account Representative, to a Floater Specialists, then to a Collections Specialist, I was able to utilize my customer support, analytical, & problem solving abilities.
Great place to work, they look after their employees
