Poor management and they breed the same poor management style to those they promote through a political agenda. HR does not practice what they preach and that department has a very low morale and poor work environment.

In the beginning, I enjoyed it. That quickly went down hill due to poor work environment, poor management, and being overworked and under-appreciated. I was driven to leave and now have changed fields completely because they ruined it for me.

The people at UPMC Pinnacle are great. It is nice to work in a place where the culture is so friendly and cooperative. I have never felt the need to tiptoe around anyone's feelings. I have also never felt like I couldn't speak my mind because I was new. My opinions are valued and respected at UPMC Pinnacle.

It's busy. There are a lot of patients who need advanced care. At times, department staffing levels are low and recruitment may be a problem because positions stay open for a long time. It is still a great place to work though because people come together to do what needs done. There is very little political bs at UPMC Pinnacle. It just isn't tolerated.
