Here's what people have asked and answered about working for and interviewing at UPMC.
Should learn to value a excellent physician that is hard working and dedicated to the hospital and to their patients. Also should listen to nursing staff more, to understand needs and concerns instead of his own feelings. Medicine is medicine and not a business, not a company but true health care. When you stop listening to nursing staff and medical staff and start listening to the company and your grudges and feelings, you make bad decisions that affect your hard working medical staff and loving, caring nursing staff. Analyze better the situation, value your physicians, nursing staff and you will make smart decisions. Don’t misjudge a book by its cover but by its content.
I would have done something more about the complaints of the nurses being intolerable and hard to work with. There would have been ONE way to do things instead of everyone doing their own thing.
