Embarrassed, and nauseous

Terribly managed

You’re a number to upmc nothing more

Multi billion dollar company that doesn’t pay you anything to begin with and finds every reason not to pay you overtime

No recognition for doing your job correctly or well or going above and beyond. But recognized with a 1 on 1 meeting with your boss when you were too busy to empty a linen basket that the shift prior to yours filled up

Be prepared for everyone hired after you to make more money than you do
Was there for 4 years, new hire comes alone, I am required to train them for 3 weeks, training ends. I find out they make more money than I do with no prior experience

Just when you develop a routine they will add 3 more tasks to your shift

Be prepared to fill out 95 forms dry erase sheets charts and double charting on everything you do and then still get in trouble

Management worries about petty stuff rather than patient care. ( because they’re nurses and never went to school for management so that is the last thing they do)

Over all horrible place to work. Made me drop out of nursing school and choose a different career path

A good place to start but not a great place to stay. I have to agree with some of the comment on here, people here are unprofessional. Gossip and cliques. Management displays and encourages this type of behavior. I tell people unless you like this type work environment look someplace else.

I tell them it's an O.K. company. It's average. Nothing special about it. You do your job, collect your paycheck, then go home. There's a lot of drama and gossip that goes on here but I manage to stay out of it.

I tell people it builds character, but I cannot see myself staying there long term. I love my job, but I think I would be doing better if I was around by more approachable people. People here are very cliquish. Not welcoming to newcomers.

I do not have anything nice to say about UPMC. I tell people the paid is great and I like my position. If anyone asks me about my colleagues and manager...
Polite answers: They lack emotional intelligence and they function as a high school clique.
Brute answers: You won't like it here unless you were the bully in high school. I just hope you are a nastier bully.

Not a comfortable conversation. I did not feel welcomed there, and management and colleagues openly bullied me. HR did nothing to resolve or improve the situation. UPMC only cares about its image, bring in money, and the high-ups. You are just a number to them. I left because I am not desperate and there better places out here.

Didn't feel welcomed by management. Stayed because there were no jobs in Pittsburgh.

The management doesn’t stand to values of UPMC. Horrible place to work. They don’t care about the employees.

I never tell anyone because they price gauge people and I don’t want them to think I had anything to do with it
