You can work as much or as little as you want. It is very difficult to land high-quality clients and much of your time will be spent looking for and applying to client projects. Time spent seeking clients and landing projects is unpaid of course.

That's the beauty of Upwork. Because it is home-based, I don't have to contend with the daily hassles of preparing and commuting/driving to work. I have my own daily disciplines though when it comes to working at home so I can maintain a healthy work-life balance.
