great family owned company, a lot of travel is required though. I did get a car allowance for wear & tear on my vehicle. Was given a gas card for all fuel

Great Company to Work for
Sales (Current Employee) –  Watertown MAMarch 19, 2018
I have worked for Urell for almost 10 years. The company overall is a positive and great place to work. Yes it can be stressful at times when it comes to the demand from the customer base but overall a great place to work. The Inside office is a relaxed environment in the sense of you do not need to wear a suite and tie to work. It is a laid back environment. They try to keep it as relaxed as possible because of the stress that the day to day work load can bring. The owners and management care individually about each employee personally and professionally. You need to know how to prioritize in order to get your job done in a timely fashion but management works with you to guide in the right direction.
Pros
Relaxed Attire, family oriented, team effort
Cons
Stressful during busy season

Uncomfortable and unprofessional environment
Sales (Former Employee) –  Watertown, MADecember 5, 2017
It is not the ideal place to work. Management is demanding, unfair, disrespectful, and unprofessional. There is no room for growth. Some people get more perks than others. The managers act like children - it really is an embarrassing place to work. Company has an EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH turnover rate as a result of many firings or unexpected quitting. Usually a sign of poor management.

I can go on and on about a number of things wrong with executives, management, employee treatment, etc. In the end, you just need to STAY AWAY! Trust me - not worth the risk.
Pros
No need to work weekends or nights
Cons
Awful management & executives

Department manager has his erratic personality, which makes it a very difficult atmosphere to work in. Always try to be your best, though you just will never know-no matter what the manager has his condescending demeanor.

Productive, flexible, and fun work environment
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) –  Watertown, MAMarch 8, 2016
Working at Urell is great, the managers and employees get along very well. Management ensures they are fair to all and provide flexibility when life gets in the way of working. Everyone seems to get along like family and are supportive of each other. Typically everyone knows what they need to do on a daily basis, of course things come up, but it is usually not a problem setting time aside to help. Urell helped me develop many of the skills I have today. The hardest part of the Job has been balancing the work load, but getting extra time at the end of the day to catch up is one of the great things about this company.
