Great place to thrive as a Midlevel Provider and Clinic Director
Midlevel Provider/Clinic Director (Current Employee) –  TexasDecember 7, 2018
UrgentCare Travel is a great place to work and grow. Besides being a place to provide compassionate care for a largely medically under-served population, there are multiple opportunities each day to reach out to your community and bring awareness of healthcare needs and viable solutions where they previously had none. Daily encounters with people who do not know the potential complications of their chronic conditions make it imperative that they learn in a strong, warm and encouraging atmosphere. Therefore, the workplace culture supports being positive and innovative in creating the environment necessary to give your patients the momentum they need to embrace their diagnosis and treatment plan that will effect not only an immediate change in their health, but also improve their long-term outcomes free of potential complications. There is cohesive support at every level of management and I feel this support everyday. The hardest part is learning to direct all clinic operations at the start, which on the surface seems challenging, but the onsite orientation and available administrative support gives you a quick learning curve and confidence in knowing that you have everything you need to be both Provider and Clinic Director in your clinic setting. The most enjoyable part of each and every day is helping people realize their medical conditions and guiding them to effective treatment that saves both their life and livelihood ~ this is the best and most rewarding part of being a Provider with UrgentCare Travel.

Strong growing company
Nurse Practitioner (Current Employee) –  United StatesOctober 1, 2018
This company allows their employees to grow and take on full responsibility in the area's they are strong in. A provider is not just there to see patients, they are there to help this company grow and thrive! This company genuinely cares about their employees AND the community that each clinic is in. Hearing how someone was saved from high blood pressure and a possible stroke or heart attack is what they all thrive on. This is a fantastic company!
Pros
Strong work teams
Cons
lack of IT knowledge and help in that area

Awful place
Former Employee (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKSeptember 26, 2018
Beware of this place! Coporate/management is horrible. The CEO thinks he is a dictator and is very rude. The culture of the company is very unprofessional. No one in management has a medical background so needless to say they are clueless. Its all about money and not caring for patients. With that being said, forget about a promotion or raise. It will never happen!

Fast paced
Nurse Practitioner (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKNovember 29, 2017
Walk-in clinic for truckers and their families, and for the public. I obtained my FMSCA license by passing a computerized test. Management was great. The workplace culture was the work was fast paced most of the time, but was also slow paced at times. The hardest part of the job was informing drivers during their DOT physicals that they had diabetes, sometimes with an A1C so high that they could not pass their physical. If their blood pressure was too high to pass, we gave them second and third chances. The most enjoyable part of the job was when the drivers passed their DOT physicals and got their FMSCA card.
Pros
The company paid for my travel.
Cons
No lunch break.

Beware
Previous employee (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXOctober 24, 2017
Great pay, but awful company to work for. Beware. You will be putting your license on the line. The owner and everyone in management are rude and unprofessional. I do not have anything good to say about this company. There is not any job security. They will fire you without cause or notice. Plus unsafe place to work. No Support.

Very small office with alot of growth heading its way. Management is great as is small staff.

Mostly DOT physicals but do see the public as a walk in.
