#1 - promote respect among employees. The biggest problem at UTSW is the culture. Physicians are allowed work as if they were in a private practice, there is no accountability for non-clinical staff, and there is a fundamental lack of respect for nursing staff across the board. Nurses and other clinical staff need to be paid higher salaries, plain and simple. With higher salaries, UTSW could hire better talent.

Terrible. General lack of respect from management to nursing staff, physicians run around throwing tantrums and management caters to their every whim, everyone dumps their work on clinical staff and they get away with it.
