Disorganized chaos
Certified Medical Office Assistant (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - May 18, 2022
I have worked in one of the outpatient clinics. I have one word to describe my time here: chaos. The employees are awesome people and so are the doctors. However, management does not care about problems that require them to bring concerns to upper management. They ask their employees for solutions on processes and take the credit for themselves. They do not know how to run a clinic. Policies keep changing every month. They give bandaid solutions to problems that need proper attention. They do not care about issues until it affects them. They also have high employee turnover. People apply and stay for their coworkers until responsibilities continue to pile up and they get burnt out. If you feel like you need a raise, then you must wait until the new fiscal year, which is in September. Even if you feel like you have worked hard enough for a raise, you will not get what you want. The only people that this organization cares about are the doctors who make the most money for them. The doctors who actually want to make changes have no say.
Pros
1 hour lunches in the clinics. They use EPIC
Cons
Outdated version of EPIC. High employee turnover. Even the doctors complain about management.

work load/managers
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - July 14, 2021
the work load is ridiculous what they expect from employees to do. Managers and Directors are the worst I have ever worked with. Most are rude and two faced they act like they care but if you are not fake like them they don't want to hear honest reality concerns.
Pros
benefits
Cons
hard work, incompetent managers
