Management is terrible and they treat women terrible.
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  IndianapolisNovember 8, 2018
I was a supervisor in Indianapolis and management would ignore real issues and show concern for productivity only. Their was absolutely no coaching or learning opportunities other than on the job training and the culture was extremely clickish.
Pros
Decent money
Cons
Always the threat of your line getting shipped to Mexico.

You are a robot with zero chance of promotion
Onity (Former Employee) –  Salem, OROctober 31, 2018
Zero upward mobility unless you are the teachers pet. Horrible management that only care about metrics, poor training and support. Decent co-workers, but not enough liveliness over all. Onity is like working in a tomb.
Pros
Lots of paid time ofc
Cons
Short, scheduled breaks, managers always in "meetings" for hours, or taking 2hrs lunches when support is needed. Very few that really care about team effort

Nice pay does not offset the disadvantages
Account Executive (Former Employee) –  Harrisburg, PAAugust 31, 2018
Used to be a great place to work but attrition has caused dynamic, dedicated, knowledgeable team members to be replaced with low-skilled workers unfamiliar with the industry and unprepared with the necessary skills to serve the customer.
Upper management doesn’t understand the business we are in, and middle management struggles to put out the day-to-day fires with no real leadership or workforce inspiration.
Corporate structure is reorganized every 12-18 months with little focus on positive impacts for customers or employees.
Pros
Compensation
Cons
Costly benefits, little coverage. Management disconnected from the customer experience. Dire employee morale, teamwork, and cameraderie.

Co-workers are really great and the TW work was fun. Leadership and resources to do any job well, is lacking.
TW (Former Employee) –  Salem, ORJuly 4, 2018
This division of UTC has amazing potential, however, upper management struggles to support employees and appreciate their value and experience site-wide. There is one TW to produce deliverables for multiple products for two growing companies, both produce several new/refreshed products each year including sustaining documentation.
Pros
Employees are hard working and good people, the actual technical writing was fun, there is a lot of potential in this position if supported
Cons
Management struggles to understand the value of the position, no time or money to improve the position or process, not enough resources to comfortably support the business requirements in years, benefits are expensive and cover little

Hardware Engineer (Current Employee) –  Arden Hills,MNFebruary 9, 2017
I worked well with the other engineers on the team here at Arden Hills. It was interesting here because the manufacturing was included here, and I could understand what the test engineers required for releasing a new project into production.
Pros
Received training and proper resources to do my job
Cons
Schedule was demanding
