With the revolving door we have with getting quality people to do this job how about rewarding those who have been here for years. ie taking away vacation time I was going on 15 years a few years back and I was so happy to get my 4th week vacation but 6 months before My 15 year anniversary you took it away and maxed vacation for Locators to 3 weeks but Supervisors can still have 4 really the locators are the heart and soul of Utiliquest we deserve the extra time off. Especially locators that’s been here that long in the field grinding each and every day.

I came to this site to seek a job. As an AT&T retired technician with 5 years locate experience, I was shocked to see a photo of a technician descending into a manhole without a forced air blower providing replacement air! Are you kidding me? on your EMPLOYMENT page? How many viewers of this page will realize this is incredibly dangerous, and totally unacceptable at AT&T!!!
I can understand omitting a view of the submersible water pump, or the chemical water testing kit. But MANHOLE AIR IS NOT SAFE TO BREATHE!!

Do not add extra responsibilties without compensation in pay, and not only a standard 5% raise, that is only going to make the good locators look for another job, the objective is damage prevention not driving good locators to seek other options

When hiring/promoting managers, go with the GOOD locators with prior management experience. The managers in Virginia have a bad habit of ignoring phone calls or covering for supervisors on vacation/medical leave. They give misinformation on utility policies and laws. And they don't bother listening to the experienced locators when they make solid, well informed, and educated suggestions to the managers. For example: hire more people when you pick up multiple contracts. Two utilities is one thing; five utilities require far greater numbers.
