Damage Prevention Technician (Current Employee) –  Hayward, CANovember 23, 2018
Because of the lower than average compensation, it seems like this company is more of a stepping stone into companies that can pay a living wage. Overall not a bad place but could be better.

Locater, Trainer, Auditor (Former Employee) –  Gainesville/Richmond VaSeptember 20, 2018
Center managers and most supervisors demand more work out of the employees than possible. Employees have no personal life, Utiliquest demands 24/7 out of the field techs. The managers protect the lazy, incompetent employees and force the hard working employees to pick up their slack.
Pros
Heath care, dental benefits
Cons
No personal life, long hours, company does not care about employees.

I receive tickets in my load each morning. I locate a combination of gas, electric, and Verizon depending on the needs of the customer. I work with great coworkers, but the uncertainty of what will happen the next day creates great anxiety.

Feild Technician (Current Employee) –  Gainesville, VAJuly 8, 2018
Well this job is very stressful because you got to find the utility’s in the right exact spot because someone life or utility’s could get damage if your even slightly off. There no lane control so you have to get in the street sometimes without lane control so you got to work quick and smart.

Great place to work
Comcast line locator (Former Employee) –  Honey Brook, PAJuly 5, 2018
The company is a great company. My boss was a very understanding person. If you don't mind driving all day and being in a small pick up truck this job is great. The only times it sucked was when its was either really hot/cold or rainy/snowy. Also with being in a truck all day there was no easily accessible bathroom.

Don't do it!
Lead area in accuracy and productivity (Current Employee) –  North Webster, INJune 10, 2018
This is a HIGHLY stressful job and you are not supported by management. You will be secretly audited and if you fail, will be given no instruction as to how to change. The procedures will change daily and are subject to the gas companies whims. You will learn that the company policies mean nothing when the gas company decides that they want something done differently. You will be let go when the gas company decides that they no longer "have confidence" in you.

company vehicle

everything else

The workloads are assigned with no regard to the actual time tasks will take to complete making them unrealistic and unreasonable. Poor communication.
