No limit....until someone abuses it. Which is unfair because it probably won't be there when you needed. Define a policy and stick with it, don't write the book as you go. Very unprofessional and too subjective. I shouldn't have to be buddy buddy with my manager or have best relationship with anyone to take advantage of sick days. The two do not go hand-in-hand.
Generous, work with your manager and maintain a positive relationship and you should have no concerns.
