You get to choose how many hours you'd like to work and use your own truck, but they don't give you much hours to work with. Helps more if management is willing to work with you

Stay far away from here

I worked at the valet for two years, earning only $14 per hour until five months ago. Unfortunately, upper management withheld a significant amount of my earnings. It wasn't until I inquired about a new employee's higher hourly wage of $18 that they reluctantly granted me a raise, bringing my rate to $17 per hour. It was disheartening to realize that my loyalty and dedication were only valued at $17. I endured harsh weather conditions, including rain, sleet, and snow, only to feel underappreciated and deceived by a miserly management team. There is no viable path for career advancement in this job unless you manage multiple complexes in one night. Overtime is not an option either. Therefore, I advise against wasting your time on this job unless you are truly desperate (which I was), as they will exploit you in every possible way.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK. DO NOT work for this company.

The job description will seem simple (until you are on location). There are no health benefits (however) you are dealing with trash. Your vehicle will not receive maintenance compensation or gas compensation. The managers will lie about your hourly rates. There is no access to a restroom or much breaktime. You will be dealing with "ALL" elements of nature.BEWARE

Pros

No pros

Cons

The pay. The work

Dumpster Fire

This company is going downhill fast. They would rather pinch pennies and underpay the valets expecting the district managers to do multiple properties per night than pay people fairly. Quality service is not the focus because everything is about meaningless KPIs as if we’re not picking up GARBAGE. Upper management is delusional and speak as if they don’t know how crazy nights can get. The job is too simple for them to be making it this hard. None of the new initiatives they are implementing are helping and we’re losing people left and right.

Worked here for four years

The job is exactly what it sounds like from the description - collecting trash. You use your own truck and pay for your own gas. You can make good money to supplement a full time job ONLY if you are willing to work multiple properties and are fast and in decent physical shape.

It’s money

Good part time job. You use your own vehicle. Fun if you have a steady way to do your assignment. Rain, sleet or snow you are working in the elements.

Not a good place to work they will definitely do everything they can to nickel and dime you

Ran through almost 10 district managers and almost a year hard to find anybody that wants to work their management is not great and they will do everything they can to nickel and dime you as much as they can they do not want to pay anyone no more than $40 or not nearly not a good place to work you will spend more gas a week than you will get paid or not nearly work for the company for over a year and covered almost every single building in the district all they care about is reaching their budget and they don't care about you

Pros

Work at your own pace. Noone is down your back

It’s a joke

They want you to use your own gas and own truck and tell 18 an hour but tell you that they will only pay you for two hours an night when it takes three or more. The managers with there “budget” is a joke. They just want to break you down to get paid barely nothing after gas and your time. Just to pad there pockets when they get there bonus for not paying the employees what they are worth. Another prime example people in management that shouldn’t be!

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Paid peanuts

Sounds like a good side hustle but it’s not

Managers do not care about you. You will have to work in all sorts of weather , I once had to work in a tropical storm , limbs were breaking off trees and falling next to me as I worked. It’s hard getting time off because you need to find coverage for your location and if someone else is off you’ll be doing their property as well as yours with no extra help. Property conditions aren’t always safe working conditions, sink holes , lamp poles down and broken curbs and sidewalks don’t make easy navigation at night hauling garbage Compactors broken or full and some locations only have dumpsters witch are full!

Pros

Extra money was nice when they weren’t trying to rip you off

Cons

No coverage if you wanted off

Awful management

Upper management is overly demanding and misleading. They overwork you as much as you allow them to. They don’t respect their employees and want to pay them as little as you will allow them to.

Pros

There weren’t really any pros

Cons

No employee appreciation

If you have a van or truck for getting dirty

It was mostly steady work where you went to the same building daily with an offer to help at others. Pay was based on the size of the building and doors you would pick up from

Ok

Good place to work if you're looking for a couple of extra bucks every 2 weeks. Residential only care about getting trash picked up not concerned for safety by over loading bags full of baby food jars and other heavy items.

Don't work in Reno

Manager typically doesn't respond within a reasonable time frame. If you're on-call, be prepared to find another job. Manager only cares if he can get you to work 3 or more complexes so that he doesn't have to work. Manager takes a lot of vacations but somehow doesn't let you use your PTO. Manager doesn't even tell employees how to find out how much PTO you have or how to request to use it.

Pros

None

Cons

Manager in Reno shouldn't be a manager

Trash collection easy enough right

Should be as simple as the job title. This company plays with employees worked hours. Even though it’s logged in by the company computer they still seem to short our checks. I’ll work 2hrs. And burn $20 in gas. It costs me $200 a week in gas. They use your truck and your gas and they eat up all the benefits and most likely write off the mileage on taxes. No benefits whatsoever.

Labor Intensive

The problem is, especially the dumpster area, the property managers who lack a grounds keeper to keep an apartment complex clean. Eventually became repulsive.
