The clients are why we do it. To help underserved populations. But everything else Valley related is so draining eventually you become burned out with lack of support, lack of appreciation, lack of compensation, and high demand. When you voice concerns they are never addressed it always comes back to productivity. It is really devaluing.

The future is bleak. They continually focus on money and productivity over client care and ethically treating clients. They are not trauma informed, provide no ongoing supervision or consultation, give high caseloads and high risk clients without the support needed to treat them ethically. They continually spend money on rebranding and redecorating but will not put money in raises or making time for more support for clinicians. You are on your own here. Sink or swim.....and eventually sink from burn out.
