Not Team oriented

Great company to work for; benefits are second to none. One complaint : this company is not team oriented. There is no time allotted to learn from your remote peers. We rarely meet and the ‘left hand doesn’t talk to the right hand’. We need team work to succeed and Valmet’s Automation does not support that concept.

Over all not bad. Pays well. The management does not communicate with each other well. But the floor employees work together to make up for that. Not super strenuous.

Profitable stable company to work for.

I can say as a company it is an extremely good company. Each site would have its own culture and you would need to see how you as a person and professional would fit in that culture. I sympathize with the changes and modernization our CEO has brought to the organization. As any company, not everything is perfect.

one of the worst places I’ve ever worked for. They don’t tell you until after your hired that you may need to work weekends and be available to them at all times. They have crazy safety procedures even where you have to label your desk. If your new don’t expect any time for training as they want you to memorize everything within two weeks. Was only there a month and they only had me training for two weeks and expect you to know everything. Also lack of communication regarding COVID procedures. Either have to wear a mask all day even at your cubicle I or be vaccinated. If you wanna be a robot and have no job security then this is the place for you!!

Overall good place to work

Valmet is overall a good place to work. Great benefits and a caring environment. However, with the corporate office being in Finland they are not in touch with what happens in the office in Atlanta. The new leadership of the North American office looks down on the administrative staffing and there is zero respect.
