As of the first of the year 2019 you can't be sick or have any type of emergency even if you have PTO.
You can have all the vacation time in the world but if you don't schedule vacation or PTO 24 hours in advance it's not excused. If you miss work without scheduling a vacation day you will get a point and they will still take your vacation Makes no sense. Who knows when they're going to be sick? I don't know who makes these policies at Valmont but it's ridiculous.

We make an effort to describe the role during both the interview process and within the job posting, but we recommend you take the time to ask questions during the interview process as well. It's a great opportunity for you to interview us, too! Our interviews are intended to be a good, two-way discussion so that we can work together to position our employees for success when they join the company. If you're unsure of some of the specifics for the interview - where to go, what to wear, what to expect, etc. - please don't hesitate to reach out to your recruiter and they will be happy to assist you!

While the process will vary by position, in general you will interview with a human resources representative, the hiring manager and at least one other stakeholder on the team. We almost always incorporate a tour as well so that you can see the environment and get a better sense of our culture. Please be sure to ask us your questions as well during the interview process!
