I had a good experience for the most part. Good work life balance. The benefits are just okay and the pay isn't spectacular, but it's easy work and I loved working with my people there. The supervisor on second shift in the multi-shot department is fair and honest, but the big department boss had his favorites. If you aren't liked by the big boss you are pushed out. Too much bullying by people whom the big boss like as well.

Forced overtime

If you have a family or a life outside of work this is not the place to work! Their policy is that they can force you to stay over with as little as 5 min notice from the end of your scheduled shift. If you’re not able to stay then you will get pointed. I worked there for 4 years and was forced to point out because of the overtime policy. I was never late and very rarely had to call off(only once in the past year). Yet I kept getting pointed for not being able to do all of the overtime they were forcing on me. I was working at least three days of overtime every week already but because I couldn’t do even more I was getting pointed. I eventually had enough and found another job and put my two weeks in before they could fire me for pointing out. I have never had attendance issues at any job. I go to work every day, on time and will work overtime when necessary, but I still have a family that I need to take care of and spend time with. Vandor does not care about its employees having any kind of life outside of the company.

Worse place to work ever

I’ve never worked at a worse place in my life, they don’t care about your life or your family, mandatory 12hour days pretty much everyday no one will stay for longer than 2 weeks. Supervisors are stuck up but buddy with HR and HR will laugh in your face if they don’t like what you have to say. They will tell you someone quit or called off instead of telling you they fired them. Will only hire people externally for 1st shift won’t move anyone that has been there and wanting to move to 1st shift

Great place to work and grow

I worked here for 17 years and wish I still did. If you are driven, a hard worker and take your job seriously, you can definitely go somewhere within the company. Production operators receive an incentive every week if you meet the quota every day of the week. It’s basically free money for doing your job, but your goal is to get as much done as you can to get a larger incentive. It’s a great opportunity and I would recommend Vandor to anyone.

Faced paced and the day flies by

I stayed busy all day between keeping the machines filled with materials and loading trucks and unloading trucks and putting material away. The people were great that I worked with and everyone was willing to work as a team.
