Mr. Kaplan, chief executive officer of Crest Furniture Inc., dba Value City Furniture of New Jersey, founded the retail furniture company in 1971.

Under his leadership, what started as a single store has expanded to include ten retail locations and eleven Ashley Home Stores. Throughout the years, Mr. Kaplan has executed a strategic plan committed to steady profitable growth.
