The pay is horrible. Management has favorites. Seems like they just point out faults....never any kudos. Seriously not the best working environment. Only plus is the animals.
Don't be afraid to weed out toxic employees. A healthy work environment is one of, if not THE, most important thing to have.

Feels like all the managers in a VCA across the world regardless of department had a staff meeting and agreed to be the worst people in the world. I’ve worked for this company years ago and I will never forget those dreaded days. Ever. Treat us with respect. Understand our stories. Appreciate us all. I traveled across the country for my career and every single VCA I’ve heard about was all about poor management. That screams something! A healthy environment creates healthy people.
More training. Training books with correct information about doctor and procedures. Get software that won't allow you to book a appointment if doctor is not in that day.

Hire managers that have some veterinary experience and when the high turnover rate is due to the manager and you get numerous complaints regarding this person, something should be done.
