Focused on growth only - not employees or company values
Sr. Marketing Manager, Cloud (Former Employee) –  RemoteMay 30, 2019
I would not recommend working at Veeam. Work/life balance is terrible. No ability to be promoted. Company values are being ignored, as they are totally obsessed with hitting $1B in revenue.
Cons
60+ hour weeks

Good Money, Chance to Move Up but Terrible Mgmt/Culture
STRATEGIC PARTNER MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAMay 29, 2019
Pays well and there are opportunities to advance within the company but that breeds a line of inexperienced management. Culture is that of a call center and job positions and responsibilities are not properly delineated. Company has great potential but unfortunately they have 1 or 2 bad apples dictating the culture at the moment.
Pros
Pay, Upward mobility
Cons
Non-flexible, call center style work, inexperienced leadership

Poor Culture Ever Since Change In Management
Marketing (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 5, 2019
The company has changed drastically since several years ago. Very KPI focused and could care less about the people who work there. A couple of years ago they started letting a large number of people go due to this, which ruined the fantastic culture that was in place. At that time, we were crushing every KPI that was set. Now the KPI's are unrealistic and unattainable. The new management does not have a clear vision, or if they do, it is an unrealistic one. Stay away unless you want a stressful job!
Pros
Work/Life Balance and Great Team Members (those few that remain)
Cons
Low Pay, Bad Management, Poor Culture, Unrealistic Goals!

Corporate Talent Acquisition Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJanuary 31, 2019
Hyper growth software company with great people, leadership, and culture. Great place to work! There have been a lot of changes but that is to be expected with a company growing so rapidly. I have nothing but good things to say and I haven't been there for several years.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (Current Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAOctober 24, 2018
I dread coming to work. The environment is toxic and management creates a " if you arent a favorite you arent anything" mind set. No career growth. No promotions internally unless you are friends with management. Zero trust and get micromanaged. Job gets threatened once a month and have been told by management its their job over mine. No leader ship. Accounts that should be in my territory wrongly assigned saying nothing they can do about them staying in other verticals. Been here almost 2 years and havent learned or done anything other than pay my bills. No growth. Stay away.

All Out
ISR (Current Employee) –  AZAugust 10, 2018
Veeam had a stellar year in 2017 and pushes their sales reps harder than ever to get to that $1B Mark for 2018. However with the company being too C-Level heavy, poor leadership, no proper training curriculum and botched business go to market strategies, Veeam will have to see if they want to remain “All In” or if it’s time to take a step back and fold. Otherwise they might be playing 52-card pickup.

With a significant amount of turnover, low employee moral and more pressure being put down on the sales teams from upper management because of low numbers, the culture has shifted strictly to a new KPI numbers driven company and is not a fun but rather a stressful place to work.
Pros
Brand Recognition
Cons
Poor business execution models (per-VM pricing model), Political and discriminatory work environment, Internal promotions with no backfill

Pay is low
Support Engineer (Former Employee) –  Columbus, OHAugust 10, 2018
It is helpdesk work.
You work customer support phone calls that come in to the queue.
Some customers are happy you help them, most are not.
You are expected to keep phone call under 7 minutes, longer than that and you are not a team player.

Sales (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAAugust 9, 2018
Low Pay
Mediocre Training
Everyone quitting (around 30% turnover in sales last couple months) do to declining growth and quotas being raised 100s of percents.
Less fun environment to work in since I first started.
Hiring and promotions come down to who you are friends with.
Company has reached saturation, growth is slowing and everyone is quitting.
Salaries are low so you only get really young people right out of college or people that are bad at their job.
Pros
Brand Recognition

Becoming EMC Junior not in a good way. New management is ruining the culture of Veeam
Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCAugust 2, 2018
Very old school management has been put in place trying to facilitate growth and grow Veeam to a $1B company. They are ruining the culture that made Veeam a great company to work for its first few years. Lot's of layoffs, new sales management is running off long time employees and old guard to replace them with their puppets. Morale is low, and the company is struggling to grow. Business partners are focused more on Veeam's competitors, and Veeam has been slow to react to build a go to market strategy to really incentivize its partners to drive new and renewals business.

Things have changed
Senior Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJuly 25, 2018
Veeam was my first job out of college and they gave me my first professional job and I will always be forever grateful for that. The people are awesome and the product is second to none.

Things have changed though.. New leadership is taking us down a road that has drastically changed the culture, compensation, and focus and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
Pros
Excellent product & great people.
Cons
Terrible C-Level Leadership, change in culture, pay is below market value, no travel. NO CAREER DEVELOPMENT PLAN.

Cultural Change Underway
Manager (Current Employee) –  United StatesMarch 13, 2018
Veeam was built on the reputation of the products and the "quirkiness" of the culture. New leadership has changed the company. It is no longer about "Veeam Green", but is now all about "$$$ green".
Pros

Limited opportunity for advancement

Great Place to work
Inside Sales Rep (Former Employee) –  Alpharetta, GANovember 13, 2017
I worked at Veeam for three years. We had a team environment with everyone pitching in to meet the team quota; we all became a family. The bigger more extended family was the rest of the teams. The environment is pretty relaxed except for month end, quarter end or year end; then it is pretty hectic with all the teams trying to make quotas. The hardest part of the job is working with partners to close deals, since we didn't sell directly to the enduser. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to travel into my sales territory once a quarter. The culture is pretty young but very competitive and very engaging!
Pros
Lots of contest and fun challenges at work
Cons
Constant changing of comp plans
