Great place to work

Maintenance team can make or break your job as a leasing consultant, but the company is a great place to work and the pay was fair! You get great training and set up for success. Most of your day gets taken up by answering calls from upset residents regarding work orders, and can take up time that you could be calling prospects and scheduling tours. I moved on to further my education, but I highly recommend Venterra and would work for them again!

Good company but a bad property

Usually understaffed, property has too many problems, budget is never enough. Heavy workload but overtime not allowed even when understaffed. It's like getting caught in a meat grinder.

A great starting point

I feel this is a decent place to start your career in this industry, but I would not stay for too long. The pay is not on par with the competition and the bonus structure is based more on reviews than performance. With that in place, you can go multiple quarters without receiving a bonus because of a resident's opinion, not fact. Someone in my position for another company easily makes a few dollars more than I do. The culture is fine. Not much room for growth.

Lots of upsides, and a few downsides.

Good company to work for with decent work culture depending on location.Commission structure is too contingent upon the prospects choice to complete surveys or them answering in the right way. Upper management is very visible and accessible which is a big deal. Venterra prides themselves on supporting advancement and what they do is congruent with that.

Not a very good place to work

Favoritism Always Prevails

It does not matter how good you do your job, they will promote the friend of this or that before of the most prepared person for the position.If you decide to work here kill yourself for be friend of the management rather to do a good job and you will be promoted very quick.Other than that is just another property management company.

I Loved to company ALOT

I love the love the company has for its staff and the properties. I learned so much regarding property management and have gained a love for the industry. I wish i could have stayed employed with the company and pray one day I am able to come back to work. The hardest part of the job was the adjustment to the residents. Some days were tough, but all in all gaining that relationship with each resident was rewarding. I became apart of the Million dollar club and won a award within 1 year of working.

It was a great experience...

This position was a while ago, but I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. I was able to increase revenue & the occupancy rate while there. I grew so much as an agent with this company and even though the property was sold and there was not a position available for me there, I was able to get my real estate license and become an apartment locator.

the work environment is sometimes stressful but most of the time it is relaxed and fun

I like my job, most of it is cleaning and sometimes something different. I also like to work as a team and that's fun because we all have an idea, in the end an excellent piece of work comes out and that gives me a lot of satisfaction. Although sometimes it is stressful, I always try to have a good attitude towards my bosses and colleagues

Great culture. Attention to detail. Bonuses are great.

It was such an honor to be chosen for maintenance of the region award and maintenance manager of the year. I started in this line of work in 1991. I have worked with many companies over the years and have never been so lucky to have found a group of people that truly care with devotion and fortitude. I learned so much from everyone who supported me on a daily basis. Personally and professionally, I am a better person today thanks to Venterra and the people in it.

It’s an apartment gig. They are all the same regardless of there motos. Overall a good experience The women on the office side of things are all a part of the mean girls club but most of us in this business are use to that.

Total mismanagement of resources and really clueless on how to handle staff.

This company says they pride themselves on being different from other companies yet they acted even worse on how they dealt with situations regarding staff. I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone who is trying work in a good fun and responsive environment.

Best Property Management Company

I loved working here. I wish I didn’t go to the property for my promotion though because it ended up selling and I had to leave Venterra. I really loved the company.

Just like a lotus flower you'll grow

The company Venterra is overall is a great company and perfect for someone who is interested in property management. They have tools and programs that can help you grow professionally and personally. This is the most pet-friendly company I have ever worked for and the most understanding company. I wasn't treated like a number, I was treated like a human being and I loved that! I had zero leasing experience before I was hired but I grew into my role quickly. Everyone is very approachable and easy to talk to. I felt comfortable in my own skin and felt confident being myself and still professional at the same time.

STRONG values and company culture.

From top to bottom this organization cares about people. They promote from within and there's plenty of room in upper management. I'm a former employee but have maintained some very long term friendships as a result of my employment. You want to make a career of multi-family? Start right here.
