Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Field Technician in Verizon
Good pay, Good benefits
Field Technician (Current Employee) - Albany, NY - June 17, 2023
Good company to work for, but there are some issues like unknowledgeable management. I work in CXM (construction) splicing and I usually work alone or with a partner. For last couple of years I have worked exclusively on fiber splicing and fiber broadband build out. The products the use are top notch for the most part. Great 401k, benefits and pay. Work culture is a turning a bit woke, like a lot of businesses.

Field Technician (Current Employee) - Alexandria, VA - September 10, 2022
Benefits and union representation ability to move to other position within Verizon laterally. Also it has good savings plan for employee on retirement

Was an great company to work at
Field Technician (Former Employee) - New York State - August 31, 2022
This company has good and bad parts, just like all big-name companies. Excellent benefits for union employees,401k matches, and pension is not given anymore to new hires. Management these days are straight from college and know nothing of the actual job other than what they learned in school, they must rely upon/hope senior employees to get the job done, because they can not instruct how to do it, nor do they get trained to learn the outside fieldwork. As the Verizon workforce retires, there will be no one qualified to do the work. They have been laying off and retiring people, most outside field techs have more than 20 yrs working there. Not many field techs have been hired since 1997 or so. All in All it was a good company, not many people can work at 1 company for decades.
