The team I have worked with were really amazing people , very supportive and ready to help at any time.Management and HR will pretend they have your back and are willing to resolve the issues within the branch but that is nowhere near the truth. They don't really care about you and the needs of their employees. If you are looking to working in stressful environment with no support this is the place for you.

VTFCU is a fun, understanding, and easy to work with company. As long as you come to work and provide 100% everyday, you will be treated with nothing but respect.

The management at Vermont Federal Credit Union is atrocious. They will convey in an interview they have a great culture, open communication, and always look to promote from within before going elsewhere; it's a lie. Management only cares about the bottom line and appearing to members that they care just long enough to gain their business. There is zero growth opportunity because they always hire from outside the organization or secretly hire a new management level position without posting it anywhere. Management has no thought of the employees, their needs, or what culture is/means in an organization. They will throw any employee under the bus for a mistake if it means they won't look bad to senior leaders. The HR team doesn't understand how confidentiality works. The senior leaders are a mess on their own as they don't hold their direct reports accountable, which is likely because they can't be bothered to work longer than 4 hours in a given day but are 'available' anytime. This organization has next to no leadership skills on its management or senior management team. If you want a job with zero appreciation and zero growth, this is the one for you.

Working at Vermont federal has definitely been the best job experience I’ve had by far. They promote from within making it easy to move up in the company As long as you work hard. Everyone is very personable and the environment is so fun!

Overall negative culture without good communication and opportunities to advance. The company is smaller- people get into their positions and stay until they retire, or when positions open it is given to people who have been there longer and tend to be a "favorite". Environment was competitive and caddy. I didn't feel supported.
