Great Place to Work!

Overall management attempts to be transparent and consistently seeks feedback from employees to rectify any deficiencies. Very supportive environment from all levels of org and continuing Ed is highly encouraged. Culture is great and very inclusive. Many fun activities throughout the year.Ability to advance is limited since company is on the smaller side, but generally people are given opportunities to work on skills through projects or other assignments.

Could be a great place to work.

This company has the potential to be a great place to work but they miss the mark in so many areas. Advancement/promotions can be painfully slow. VP’s and upper management spend a lot of time gossiping. What should be confidential employee situations/issues often become public knowledge. The CEO does not appear to know how his managers and VP’s truly are when he is not watching which is a shame because he would likely make some big changes if he did.

No Incentive to Stay

The issue at VT Mutual is there is no incentive for the growing workforce of Millennials looking for jobs. By 2025 75% of the workforce will be millennials struggling to balance life, work and student loan payments. Without proper incentive from VT Mutual they won't manage to replace their retiring workforce, as they continue to also lose their younger employees as well.
