Co workers we good people to work with. Learned how to be a good and productive PM. Management was good. My direct supervisor was a great manager and person. Hardest part of the job was just being a new PM.
For the time spent at this company, I had no Cons.
Strong company with many skilled and committed employees
Vice President of Sales (Former Employee) – Huntsville, AL – June 11, 2018
Vertiv is a good company going through a significant transformation. The new ownership and leadership teams are committed to making Vertiv a stronger company after a long period of ownership under Emerson. Change is not easy but I am confident that Vertiv will transform and achieve a level of success that it has never seen previously.
Leadership is engaged and committed
Job security is tenuous through transformation which has caused some talent attrition
General Administrator and Marketing Representative (Current Employee) – Princeton, NJ – June 7, 2018
Learned about HR administration and immigration. Learned about IT full suite technology solutions, including big data enablement, predictive analytics, new data sources ingestion, and real-time stream processing - also compliance and rules for BFSI industry resulting from Dodd Frank and 2008 financial meltdown.
Not well managed before Emerson divestiture, poorly managed now.
Engineer (Current Employee) – Huntsville, AL – May 23, 2018
Since the Emerson divestiture, Vertiv has been trimmed back to its hardware only business; undercutting any management (software) innovation, limiting their competitive market position in a full solution environment. It is not a compelling place for employment at this time.
Decent benefits package
Management dressing it up for sale for the VC owners.
Being a Customer Engineer, it is more like a Field Service Engineer job, always out in the field, doing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance. May not be suited to people who have a family with small kids.
Vertiv was formally Emerson Network Power when I started working here. Emerson sold our division off thus now we are Vertiv. I loved working for Emerson But Vertiv is owned by a venture capital company and they are really concerned with profits. Not the best place to work as of right now. Maybe this will change in the future
