Not good communication
Director of Business PM - Vertiv (Former Employee) –  Huntsville, ALJuly 6, 2018
Lack of good communication as far as mission, strategy and updates. Management was not consistent with the message conveyed to the team if done separately.

Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Lorain, OHJuly 2, 2018
Co workers we good people to work with. Learned how to be a good and productive PM. Management was good. My direct supervisor was a great manager and person. Hardest part of the job was just being a new PM.
Pros
Home Office
Cons
For the time spent at this company, I had no Cons.

Much uncertainty
Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Westerville, OHJune 25, 2018
Ever since Vertiv bought Emerson Network Power, there has been a lot of uncertainty. Systems were not updated as was promised and the credit/collections area of the company needs a huge overhaul.

Strong company with many skilled and committed employees
Vice President of Sales (Former Employee) –  Huntsville, ALJune 11, 2018
Vertiv is a good company going through a significant transformation. The new ownership and leadership teams are committed to making Vertiv a stronger company after a long period of ownership under Emerson. Change is not easy but I am confident that Vertiv will transform and achieve a level of success that it has never seen previously.
Pros
Leadership is engaged and committed
Cons
Job security is tenuous through transformation which has caused some talent attrition

Interesting Place to work
General Administrator and Marketing Representative (Current Employee) –  Princeton, NJJune 7, 2018
Learned about HR administration and immigration. Learned about IT full suite technology solutions, including big data enablement, predictive analytics, new data sources ingestion, and real-time stream processing - also compliance and rules for BFSI industry resulting from Dodd Frank and 2008 financial meltdown.

Confusing leadership.
Customer Engineer (Current Employee) –  Cleveland, OHJune 1, 2018
The company gives a ton of classroom training-bonus. But leadership shifts, policy changes, and goals are always changing. It does allow for self scheduling after training.
Pros
Extensive training.
Cons
Ever changing policies.

Not the same company it was under Emerson
Director of Accounting (Current Employee) –  Lombard, ILMay 28, 2018
the company has gone down hill fast since the spin off from Emerson. No clear direction, money wasted in many areas, senior management team is weak.

Not well managed before Emerson divestiture, poorly managed now.
Engineer (Current Employee) –  Huntsville, ALMay 23, 2018
Since the Emerson divestiture, Vertiv has been trimmed back to its hardware only business; undercutting any management (software) innovation, limiting their competitive market position in a full solution environment. It is not a compelling place for employment at this time.
Pros
Decent benefits package
Cons
Management dressing it up for sale for the VC owners.

priduction line wirer (Former Employee) –  Delaware, OHMay 18, 2018
I enjoyed the fast pace of work. Always something that needs to get done. If there was no more work on the line, I would go assist other lines. Would have preferred to stay but got laid off.

Lots of work, traveling
Customer Engineer (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNMay 13, 2018
Being a Customer Engineer, it is more like a Field Service Engineer job, always out in the field, doing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance. May not be suited to people who have a family with small kids.

Different than before
Customer Engineer (Current Employee) –  Dallas-Fort Worth, TXApril 25, 2018
Vertiv was formally Emerson Network Power when I started working here. Emerson sold our division off thus now we are Vertiv.
I loved working for Emerson But Vertiv is owned by a venture capital company and they are really concerned with profits. Not the best place to work as of right now. Maybe this will change in the future
