Veterinary System Services Inc was founded on the principle that 'Respect is earned. Every person. Every time.' Our staff is made up of qualified and capable people that have a passion for the overall well-being of animals. We also understand that whether you call them owners, parents, caretakers, or clients, people are an important part of this business. Success is achieved through patient care and client satisfaction, but only with the proper support.

Our company was built by people just like you, frustrated, and suffering from burnout, which is why we have raised the bar with VSS, creating the best employer of veterinary professionals in the state of Colorado. You choose, work full-time or part-time! We believe that happy people and good systems make a great practice!

VSS is a company designed to support the veterinary community of the Denver and greater front-range area of Colorado. We understand the business of animal medicine and want to support your goals to advance in the field. Finding a good match can be a difficult process for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Taking the time to get to know a clinic just can't be done in one working interview. We offer you the opportunity to work relief for as many shifts as it takes to make the call. Audition current employers while getting paid a competitive hourly rate, shift differentials, and great benefits!

Our goal to help veterinary medicine grow and evolve, to be a partner for practices and support their systems, and to support those that are trying to provide the best possible care for animals.

Pro- You sign up for hours and shifts you want to cover. See how different clinics work. Con- All shifts are up in Denver so if you live in the springs you have to travel to Denver to work.

It’s nice that they never force you to work anywhere, you get to create your own schedule. Huge draw in, and then told in hiring interview/meeting there are so many opportunities in the local area. Not true at all. Usually 1+ hours away, and the pay is minimal. You can make more money working during weekends and overnights but still not equivalent to what a clinic would pay you as an employee. I joined VSS shortly after becoming certified as a technician. I enjoy working for this firm because of the immense amount of flexibility and independence I enjoy. I have experienced some degree of professional growth through feedback and reviews. The variety of shifts has allowed me to focus my work in practices or areas of practice that I find the most fulfillment.

The account managers only care about the clients and making them happy, and could care less about the technicians and other employees. They try to get away with paying as little as possible to maximize how much they make off of you per hour.

I honestly just started this job so I do not have enough experience to have an opinion. My first shift isn't until Monday, but I have a feeling I will like the variety.
