They’re usually done in group interviews although mine was done one on one so I did get a little more personal with my then assistant manager. Easy questions, they mainly wanna know if you can really up sell the brand name without knowing much about it to begin with. For most stores, you must be available on weekend and you HAVE to be available to close at least 2-3 times a week not including weekends. They love professional attitudes so come in like you really know what you’re getting into, do your company research as well.

My interview ecerpeonce was HORRIBLE. I’m currently looking for a summer job before I start my second year of college and I have no prior retail(or any actual job) experience. I still got an interview though. But during the interview, all the questions(except for the first one; “what are your strengths and weaknesses) were aimed toward previous customer service experience/ retail experience. I couldn’t any any of the questions besides the first one. Why would you invite someone who has no experience(as told by the resume) to an interview where the only questions asked were about prior experience?

I was called maybe a few weeks after i applied online for an interview. At first i was nervous, but when i actually started talking to the assistant manager i felt more open to answer her questions thoroughly. The questions were more about me & my experience. We really connected on some points & situations that’s why i think i was hired on spot. I was told to come in a few days later for training. I am so excited because i those few days are coming up quick ! ❤️

My interview experience was great. I was interviewed one on one. The store manager had been with the VS brand for sixteen years, pretty impressive. She knew the company inside and out, I could see that! She was confident and direct with her questions but also really put me at ease. She wanted to know about my customer service background and knowledge. The interview lasted about twenty minutes. She analyzed my resume. She asked the reason why I wanted to work at VS. She asked me about my favorite VS products, if I had any. She also asked if I had any questions for her. After the face to face interview, I received a phone call a couple hours later that I’d been hired! This all happened on Saturday. My training starts Monday morning!

Unlike many of the reviews that I have seen. I had a one on one interview. Shortly after putting my application online I got a call from the manager of the PINK store , once I had a brief phone interview she asked what i knew about the brand and what was an interesting fact about my self... I simply told her i wear pink on a daily , i am familiar to the styles of bras and my favorite panty etc . For the formal interview she scheduled me that weekend... I arrived 15 minutes late ! ( don't do that , by the way ) anyway... the interview was simply more questions about myself, availability, most stressful moment and how i over came it ... laid back for the most part , went over discounts and dress code . Got a call back the next day welcoming me to the team !

It was only 3 of us. It seemed pretty easy but it was kinda stressful cause we all was saying the same thing. But it was good.

Group interview. 12 of us. It was with the manager of the store, whom was lovely, she was really energetic and it was quite calming I wasn’t nervous at all. We went around introduced ourselves and said a fun fact. They were definitely looking for confidence within yourself and energy. You’re going to be speaking to lots of strangers everyday you need to just portray confidence. We split into two groups and were given 3 items for the store and told as a group to discuss the items and sell them to the manager. We got to pick which we wanted to talk about. It wasn’t too difficult. We then switched products with the other group and did the same but the manager mentioned she was looking at how we interact with each other. I’m not sure if the others in my group had caught that and with a male in our group who wasn’t going to personally connect with the items we had so I made sure to talk to him and just offer ideas and not be the exact centre of attention because that’s not what they were looking for. After all that they asked us randomly a lot of customer service questions; what do you think customer service is? When have you showed compassion? What do you think good customer service is?

TIPS: make sure you are in formal BLACK. Business-casual. They were not happy with a couple girls who turned up in normal clothes. They are very focused on customer service so have answers for all those type of questions. Be friendly, try and make your answers a little personal where you can to show you can connect with the business and customers.

We had a group interview for seasonal sales associate. Our group interview was on the sales floor. The sales manager split us up and interviewed half of us in the VS part of the store and the regional manager interviewed the other half In the Pink section of the store. They both asked “why VS”, asked about our availability, a favorite Product and why it’s your favorite(it didn’t have to be a VS/Pink product) you go over your background and sales experience and then you had to sell a Bra. The. We switched to the pink side and it was pretty much the same questions and then you had to sell a Pink “item” which basically was a bra, leggings, shirt,sweater/jacket and sides. Remember to sell and up sell. I upsold the bra with a 2/75 sale and sold 2/20 matching panties. I got a job offer with in two days.

The interview is a group interview. No everyone will have a chance to speak so make sure you speak first. You will then be asked to sell an item.

Intense. They ask pretty basic questions but they're looking for a lot of personality as well as responsibility. My location typically does panel interviews with the managers, but they were in a hurry to hire someone so I was only interviewed by one. I was offered the position on spot but most times they take a few days to call back after viewing the resume and talking together.
