No, there is no guarantee of a certain amount of hours. The wonderful thing about being as needed is that you can sign up to work anywhere at any time, you are not committed to a full 12 hour shift for 3 days a week. So if you need time off you can schedule yourself as you please. The drawback is that if the floors are not full you will be the first to be put on call.
