Too Stressful and Not Enough Pay

For all of the work they have you do, the DMV does not compensate very well. You are required to give driving tests to be full time, often times to people who are not ready to drive alone or who cannot speak or understand English well enough. Customers frequently complain about wait times but staff does not have the tools necessary to work faster and more efficiently. Computer systems frequently go down, office furniture is old, you are not allowed to drink enough to keep from losing your voice and are frequently micro-managed.
