Patient Service Representative (Former Employee) –  VAJune 25, 2018
This place is a very stressful environment to work in. Management is poor and you aren’t paid for all the services you provide. There is lots of favoritism and lack of support. If you are a nursing mother this is definitely NOT the place for you.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
No job advancement, no raises

great practice to work for if you are in healthcare
Administrative Support (Current Employee) –  Fairfax, VAMarch 6, 2018
Virginia Heart is a well regarded and well known cardiology practice in the Northern Virginia area. They are growing and do a good job of keeping up with changes in the industry and the latest healthcare advances to continue that growth. Physicians are respected in the area as the top cardiology docs. I am proud to work for this organization. Work environment is pleasant, work schedule is stable and predictable (no nights, weekends, or holidays). Practice strikes a nice balance between small medical office that can't offer much opportunity and large, bureaucratic health care system where you are just a number. Benefits include annual salary increases, discretionary bonuses, free lunches in the clinical offices, and training are just a few.
Pros
stability, regular schedule, bonuses, raises

Patient Service Specialist (Current Employee) –  Fairfax, VANovember 22, 2017
Upper management is terrible. There is no room for advancement especially if you are a minority woman. The doctors own the practice but are blind to what is going on. Very cut throat business.
Pros
Free Lunches, Cool employees
Cons
No raises, not treated poorly

Cardiac Technician (Current Employee) –  Fairfax, VANovember 19, 2017
This job is ok for new grads or for someone who would like to keep busy and not retirement. The pay isnt great and you will never get a raise. There is no room for growth. Also, upper management can be a pain. He only cares about numbers and not patient care. Most of the staff here is one foot out the door. On the bright side the hours are 8-4:30.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Poor mangement, no growth, lack of raise

working as a nurse at the headquarters
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) –  Fairfax, VASeptember 3, 2017
reviewing and answering emails
reviewing patient messages
processing orders
telephone traige
inputting lab results
getting patients vitals

hardest part of the job is remaining calm on the triage line when the patients are super stressed out and highly demanding.

best part of the job is seeing what differences can be made and how health improves for the patients.

Document Merger Specialist (Former Employee) –  Falls Church, VAFebruary 17, 2017
Great workplace culture. There was little to no room for advancement. Compensation was not competitive enough but work was low stress. Healthcare offices typically are not as nicer looking as others out there if that is what you are into.
Pros
Location, Friendly atmosphere
Cons
Compensation, Career advancement

Patient Service Specialist (Current Employee) –  Falls Church, VADecember 13, 2016
A typical day in my current position is arriving, as scheduled, before the scheduling department opens, to be available to answer urgent calls from patients and clinical staff, page on-call doctors, and take messages on behalf of the office. Throughout the day I complete various administrative duties, process 100+ calls which are exceeding to the department goal, drafting documents and emails, scheduling and pre-registering patients. The most enjoyable part of my job is being surrounded by like-minded people and to provide exceptional cardiac care for our new and established patients, frequent company pot lucks, monthly incentives for achieving our individual and company goals, and an amazing boss.
Pros
Free lunch & Learn meetings.
Cons
Short lunch break.

cardiac sonographer (Former Employee) –  VirginiaNovember 14, 2015
Not good place for minorities. Poor management , with practice that caters to wealthy vs poor and or minority. Even with patient care. Strongly discourage minorities from applying at this company. REAL TALK!
