Customer Service Rep (Current Employee) –  Sacramento, CAJuly 30, 2018
Its a great place if sitting at a desk and talking on the phone is something you enjoy. They are always giving you free food and having fun events to bring in some excitement to the staff. They do not offer unpaid time off unfortunately.

Research Contractor / Marketing (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cordova, CA 95670March 25, 2018
They hired me right out of college. I was given plenty of chances to excel and to learn new skills. The environment there is very welcoming and I would highly recommend the company.

Micro managed and Turnover is high
Call Center Representative/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cordova, CAMarch 7, 2018
Most of the hires for this location are brought in through a temp agency. The training is great but fast. You're like cattle rounded up and shoved along after training you head up stairs if you make it through. Upstairs is live calls with real customers they make it sound exciting, with coffee stations and message chairs. But its Far from that. From you going to the bathroom yes that's timed too by logging in and out of your computer. You're monitored by the # of calls you take and you have a rating/score your required to be at each day and week. Then they screen your calls and rate them. Then they start letting people go you could take up to 100 calls a day 500 a week get monitored on only 5 calls a week but if 3 of those calls out of 500 are not rated above 85% you can say bye bye
Pros
Training is good
Cons
Micro manages, very negative and stressful. Favoritism for family and older tenure staff workers

Great Place to work, but can be stressful.
Claims Processor/Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Columbus,OhioJanuary 11, 2018
Great Place to work, but can be stressful. Expectations from management can be demanding to reach performance goals and strike a balance to make accommodations for clients. Pool table, ping pong and massage chairs are available to de-stress while on lunch or break. Benefits are pretty good and management does encourage career pathing.
Pros
Management shows appreciation consistently and does reward with annual bonuses based on performance.
Cons
Constant call monitoring and feedback can create anxiety and job insecurity.

Client Broker Representative (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cordova, CAOctober 17, 2017
In my daily duties it was needed to create vision plan and explain them to potential clients. The management is so helpful and wants to see their team succeed. Even though the hard parts are trying to make deadlines it still is fulfilling.

Customer Care Business Analyst
Customer Care Analyst (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cordova, CAJuly 19, 2017
primary focus depends on what projects and project types you are assigned to. I was assigned to major corporate projects. I spent most of my day working with other departments and lines of business implementing corporate projects in systems and applying their changes to the Customer Care Team in VSP Vision Care. Communications skills are key in this job.
Pros
Some of the co-workers both internal and across lines of business are amazing, intelligent and caring
Cons
Company does not live by their values in any way shape or form, at least not in the customer care analyst department of VSP
