Awful management and no culture.
Information Technology Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 3, 2018
It was a great place to work until current C-Level executives took over. Dictator style of management. Problem comes from the very top and work their way down.

A quick source of very little income here and there
Convention Assistant (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLMay 28, 2018
This review is about the convention assistant position only. The practice is exploitative, this company pays the lowest per hour in the industry. The do not care what kind of product they give the client. So there is very little vetting and training. You are supposed to be available forever and get called only on the degree that they play favorites. There is no feedback, no quality control, the worker is truly an instrument that they send out to work, and bill the client over double of what the worker is paid. Parking has always been a problem, with remote parking offered, and ineffective shuttle service that works here and there. No pay raises. No job security. The only plus is the flexibility if you are available whenever they call. The icing on the cake is the new direction by ex- Disney people. Known for the total disregard for the person.
Pros
On call if you do get called. Flexible, work at the convention center.
Cons
Lack of parking, not enough hours

Strategic Alliances Intern (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLMay 13, 2018
I worked for Visit Orlando as an unpaid intern, and had an amazing experience helping out with their Magical Dining Month. I would highly recommend anyone work with this amazing team of individuals if given the opportunity.

It is a very respected organization throughout the industry and beyond.

Great Company, Poor Management
Trade Show & Event Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 27, 2017
Visit Orlando does amazing things and is an amazing company to work for. There is so much to learn in various sectors of the tourism industry from very well experienced professionals. Unfortunately, the culture and team morale within the organization is very low. The leadership does not lend itself to personal growth or advancement and everyone only looks out for themselves.

Not the company it used to be...at all...
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 19, 2017
Used to be a top employer, now just a grind-house for management to bully those in the trenches.
Workplace culture is non-existent, now it is just a work place.
HR is disengaged.
Look elsewhere for work with a purpose.
Pros
Health insurance
Cons
Not worth losing your good health just to get health benefits

Stay away
Accounts Receivabl (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 6, 2017
Flagrant favoritism, unorganized, cliques like high school promoted by management. If they pretend not to see something (management) then it didn't happen.

Comfortable environment
Senior Web Application Developer (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJanuary 11, 2017
Typical day-to-day work, 8 hours/day with coffee and lunch breaks, comfortable workstation with PC and 3 monitors.
I learned Python and Django framework.
Management has its own problems and they do not have enough consideration for the development team work. All work is done under supervision of an outside consultant, whose vision is contrary of what the development team does.
Co-workers are excellent people, nice, polite, knowledgeable and fun.
The hardest part of the job was the management deciding to purchase third-party software without consulting the team and making us to integrate bad software with our own.
Most enjoyable part of the job was opportunity to learn new language (Python) and also the lunches and parties thrown by the supervisors.
Pros
Nice environment, good people, nice place to work.
Cons
Management does not consider the development team valuable

Decent Internship Experience
Internship (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLDecember 30, 2016
This internship was a decent experience. It taught me some valuable lessons in my department. Be careful of what you say around people. Can be unorganized at times but generally if you do your work and do it well, you should be fine.

Convention Assistant (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLSeptember 4, 2013
Good Company to work for. But not enough hours if you need full-time work. They bring in new people all the time, and you don't know why the people who have been there forever don't get the hours.
