Director of Marketing (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAMay 21, 2019
Vistage is the best place I've every worked, hands down. The people are supremely intelligent, optimistic and driven to create positive results. The Chairs and Members we service are some of the biggest change agents in their communities and industries. The office culture is very collaborative and positive. Everyone wants the same goal and the Executive Team gives time, attention, resources and support to make that happen. I really feel like I'm working for an empowering cause!
Pros
great people, great pay, great benefits, incredible conversation, positive meetings, and flexible schedules
Cons
can't think of any

Vistage Chair (Former Employee) –  Naperville, IlOctober 26, 2018
Vistage is a great idea. Chicago is over saturated with Chairs, and it is a very cut throat environment, with very little trust, and Chairs will pirate each others members.
Pros
Solid Brand
Cons
Horrible culture

Incompetent Management
Marketing (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CASeptember 12, 2018
Despite the company mission to "drive decision making", management waffles over decisions that should be made instantly. There is an inability to make smart decisions, therefore often making poorly planned, miscalculated ones. Leadership has no clue how to get their own jobs done, yet they have the uncanny sense to rely on their teams to cover for them.
Pros
Free snacks in the breakroom

No professional growth

Fast-Paced and Fun Environment
Management (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CASeptember 11, 2018
It is a fast-paced work environment with a great platform for collaboration and decision-making. The management is great and the team is hard-working and positive.

It is enjoyable going to work day-in and day-out with this in mind. It is challenging but worthwhile. There are a lot of last-minute projects that surface, but where doesn't that exist?

Great job, great company.

Executive Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAMarch 22, 2018
This was not a good fit for me. The person and department I supported did not always act in an ethical manner and that was difficult for me to handle. Ultimately it was decided that it was not a good fit.

Fast paced, diverse responsibilities as Sponsorship Sales Manager
Manager of Sponsorship Sales (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAOctober 10, 2017
Vistage Worldwide is the leading CEO membership organization with over 21,000 members, 800 chairs, and 150 employees in 16 different countries.

Typical work day lead generation/business development, working with local lead chairs in each geographic region on sponsorship acquisition with local member companies. Responsible for sponsorship for 40 Vistage Executive Summits- total sponsorship sales - $1.2 million. This dynamic sales/ business development position is fast paced that has allowed me to work with different levels of leadership to offer custom crafted sponsorship solutions.

The management executes the Servant Leadership daily practices- the culture is focused om team-work, accountability, leadership, self discipline and abundance.

The hardest part of the job is juggling multiple priorities with diverse audiences. The most enjoyable part of the job is selling sponsorship solutions.

Opportunity Unfilfilled
Chief Information Officer (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAMay 7, 2017
Vistage is a company that helps CEOs of small and md-size companies manage their own companies to be more successful.

Unfortunately Vistage struggled to actually implement many of the things they taught their clients resulting in bi-polar culture where people could talk about enlightened management practices but had great difficulty actually implementing them or recognizing if they were falling short.

A brilliant, proven concept / part of a great group / with extraordinary people
Chair (Former Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 9, 2012
ht person in the right location, Vistage can be a great fit - both for its own professionals and for its client executives. Its own people need to be multiple personalities in one body...so if you're part recruiter / salesman; part player / coach; and part consultant / facilitator - Vistage could be an ideal second career (provided you were successful in the first).

When you answer that you think you're "coachable," you better mean it - because they have a proven methodology that you'd be ill-advised to ignore. Although it's largely a combination of who's available and "the luck-of-the-draw" the choice of your mentor is a make-or-break decision (though you won't know until it's too late to change.

You need to live and be reasonably well connected in an area where there are at least 500 to 1,000 privately-held profitable companies with annual sales between $5 and $50 million...and it would be VERY useful for you to know at least some of the owners / CEOs, their accountants and attorneys, and/or their bankers / financial advisors. If you could round up 50 to 100 people within a month or so to pay four-figures to have dinner with a B-List celebrity or politician, then you can make this work. If you would shrink from organizing a $1,000-per-plate fund-raising function, or recruiting and managing a two-dozen volunteer group on a long-term mission...then this would drive you nuts.and you wouldn't like life at Vistage.

Perpetual selling / recruiting; perpetual facilitation / hosting; perpetual consulting / counselling, and perpetual event planning are the order of the day. If that's
more... your cup of tea, you'll savor it; if not, be careful what you ask for - you just might get it!  less
Pros
intellectually, viscerally, and professionally stimulating, and personally gratifying to the right person
Cons
long, touch launch, slow build-up of momentum, fragile balance of personlities / priorities.
