Purchase Order Analyst (Former Employee) –  Centennial, COMay 2, 2018
Vistar was a company that didn't wasn't challenging enough after learning a process for an AS400 or ERP program. The software was non intuitive and had two modules that don't speak to each other. I think that was the only real challenge that anyone had, not the actual processes. very slot A and B type work.
Good pay and benefits, including purchasing food the sold at retail prices.
Pros
good benefits and pay
Cons
gossip and lack of leadership, the manager had no idea how to do many things and called upon the lead several tines a day

Don’t go
Packer (Former Employee) –  Southaven,msMarch 12, 2018
It was okay at 1st when I started working there. New management came in and everything went from there. It’s great pay but long hours. Like the management are inconsiderate of the employees with ridiculous off the wall expectations of production. Supervisor having inappropriate contact with the employees so there’s a lot of favoritism there
Pros
Great pay
Cons
Lack of free time

I hate this place!!! The supervisor upstairs is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here. Go to school and get an Education and do what you enjoy doing. This place is not for you, they only care about getting the work out!!! Do not work here!!!!!

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Livermore, CAFebruary 19, 2018
its an ok place of employment , there is no good system set in place for operational. You have to improvise on your first day of work and learn as you go.
Pros

Picker/Packer (Former Employee) –  Southaven, MSFebruary 10, 2018
Managers do not have a clue on running that business it will soon close down ..they dont know how to treat their workers and so many people walk out or just don't come back. They have their picks of employees and if we do a great job it's never enough even a new supervisor quit because he didnt like the way the head people wanted him to treat us.

Good company very little room for growth you will never be able to make enough to retire here unless you are in upper management. Is good place to start for people right out of college.

Quick pace job
Pallet Jack Driver (Current Employee) –  Riverside, MOJanuary 10, 2018
Its an alright job, days go by quick, can be fun, but opinions are often unheard or overlooked. its a team job but its not looked at that way by everyone and can cause long hours and stress. it is a very stressful job for your body and mind. pay is good. this job has high expectations but still has some work to be done by management before it can be possible for employees to meet requirements. the people are nice and the job is simple but you cant really walk at a faast pace like they claim. if youre running it can still be hard to hit that 95% they require so be athletic before joining or you might get more stressed. overall its a pretty decent job, can be a hard job but youre paid 17-18/h so youre paid for what you do
Pros
Fast Days, Friendly People
Cons
Stressfull, Freezer stays around -14 and EVERYONE goes in at once so getting numbers and being safe is dificult

You are pushed to make all of your deliveries without support from dispatch at times. Starting every morning at about 3am and working a full 14 hour day, 4-5 days a week.

Awful Place to Work!!!
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) –  Southaven, MSDecember 3, 2017
I wouldn`t recommend anyone to work there, Poor Management, under paid for the work you do and then try to keep you in there alnight, the hours are from 4:15-3a you may be there till 3:45a, was a okay place to work till they brought two new supervisors in, they know what they're doing it went down hill from there they walk around talk about the employees,no need of going to upper management he sucks up to them and take their side they lie in your face have you thinking you're off the weekend come Wednesday it a totally different stories.......this Company definitely needs a Union!!!
