Fun, dynamic place to work where you make a positive impact to the nation’s leading hospitals
Director, CHA Custom/Pediatric Sourcing (Current Employee) –  Irving, TXJanuary 11, 2019
Fun, dynamic place to work where you make a positive impact to the nation’s leading hospitals. You have an opportunity to make a real difference, since Vizient represents about half of the US hospitals in terms of supply spend.
Pros
Represent half of the US hospital market, so you’re making a big impact with work
Cons
Can get branded, which makes it difficult to get promoted

Great place to work with very good people. My organization has changed and it will not allow me to move forward in my current role and there are no other positions available.
Pros
Great people.
Cons

Fun, Relaxed Work Culture
Analyst (Current Employee) –  ColoradoDecember 2, 2018
The work culture at Vizient is fun and laid back. They are very easy going about working remotely, getting time off (5 weeks per year), leaving to attend to family needs, etc. All they care is that you get your work done.

They try to help you with your career development and find out what path you want to take. The company is constantly working to improve and move ahead, which causes some change to your job function.

The only drawback is the pay is not fantastic.
Pros
fun atmosphere, laid back, lots of vacation time
Cons
pay is not great

It is a very intense place to work.
Sourcing Executive (Current Employee) –  Irving, TXNovember 8, 2018
Vizient can be a great place to work or a not so great place to work. It all depends which functional group you work for. Make sure you fully inquire about the group and the group's history. Even for the same type job depending upon who the client is can make a big difference in the job.

Constant restructuring
Data Analyst (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MONovember 7, 2018
Vizient is constantly restructuring. Your job is never secure unless you are upper management. Vizient is slow at starting new initiatives. They will make a 6 month plan and do nothing for the first 5 1/2 months. Then everything is a rush to get done. They also outsource work overseas instead of employing more Americans.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Constant restructuring

Too much turn over
Consulting Director (Current Employee) –  Roseville, CAOctober 25, 2018
Turnover has been high at both the managerial and IC levels. It's difficult to stay on track when you have a new manager and coworkers every few months.
Pros
Flexible work hours (with past management)
Cons
Turn over

My manager was very very rude, and disrespectful. The Roseville leadership team is dysfunctional.

Very clicky, favoritism and immature decision making. Its a job not a career place.

Talked about things, however no follow through. Toxic employees allowed to stay

Poor Leadership, bad training
Consultant (Current Employee) –  Centennial, COSeptember 7, 2018
Very limited to no training being done. Unless you have 20+ years of experience, they don't care about you. Horrible compensation and no upward movement within the company.

Becoming More Corporate - In a Negative Way
Senior Sourcing Analyst (Current Employee) –  Irving, TXSeptember 4, 2018
Smaller company where I started was purchased by bigger company, and it has lost much of the personal feel. I was a data analyst, and they brought in a new manager to with whom I did not get along.
Pros
Good People
Cons
Very little/no training

Productive and fun place to work
Software / Angular 2, 4 Developer (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILAugust 6, 2018
Relaxed and casual environment to work. Full of fun people, no micromanagement with a drive to encourage diversity and inclusion. They promote the acquisition of new technology and strive to ensure their workers are up to date with them.

Caveat emptor
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILAugust 2, 2018
Merger is far from over - political territorial battles. Luckily for them, they basically have a monopoly and older good products. Don't plan on a work/life balance nor smiling - its frowned upon.
