Toxic work environment
Business Manager (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - May 19, 2023
Unrealistic work expectations and toxic environment. SLT is out of touch and don’t hold themselves accountable. No onboarding, training or support. Avoid this place by all means.

Stay away from this place
Teacher (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - February 19, 2023
Stay away from this place, teachers are under valued and every staff is over worked. The network has unrealistic expectations and they don't care about their employees. Everyone, is over worked while those in upper management work remotely. STAY AWAY, everything looks great on paper but when you get to the school sites it's a mess.

Fun working environment
Talent Associate (Current Employee) - CMO - January 24, 2023
This is a family oriented company, where the values are present all the time. This company is very flexible with employees, and it provides great support.

Possibillites for moving up
Assistant Teacher (Current Employee) - Morgan Hill, CA - July 22, 2022
Nice place to work, you are able to move up if desired. Trainings are offered to every employee. There is a lot of parent involvement, along with working with other community agencies. It is very structured, currently they are in a buisness building, they will soon have their own campus.

Unsupportive and hostile environment.
Employee (Former Employee) - Central Office - November 26, 2019
Management staff are not supportive. Concerns are never addressed when brought to their attention. The mission statement of the organization may seem appealing, but it soon becomes clear that the organization cares more about expanding than it does about the community it serves. I would not recommend working here.

Enjoyable
Office Assistant (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - September 30, 2019
A typical day at work was printing homework sheets, covering for teachers during lunch and recess, and data entry. The best part of the job was talking with the kids, hearing them discuss amongst themselves their favorite shows or what they want to do when they get older. The business manager and the principal ran this school in the best way possible. I learned how to do data entry and work a very large printer. The hardest part of the job was leaving, after graduation.

Work Culture
Business Clerk (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - September 20, 2019
Bad working culture. Politically structure. Reasons are not thoroughly given to you when they decide to let you go. Some of the staff member are wonderful. Nevertheless most of the upper management do not work well with others.

Mission Driven Schools
Dual Immersion Teacher (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA - August 12, 2019
Voices is great because all of its staff are very dedicated to providing their students and community with a high-quality education. Most people are social justice driven and take their work very personally. The work is tough but very rewarding especially if you are very invested in your community.

Mission Driven.
Director of Accounting (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA 95127 - July 5, 2018
Organization is growing, there are many systems that still need to be documented and shared among the organization. So there has been some growing pains.
