Account Analyst (Former Employee) – Libertyville, IL – October 21, 2018
Great company to work for cool perks with vehicle leasing program. Great culture when it comes to family and employee participation efforts on a social level. Education is phenomenal. compensation package for that type of industry is first rate.
Service Technician (Former Employee) – Oakland, CA – October 16, 2018
Normal work day is 8 hours if work is coming in. There was no growth at this dealership and poor management (Service Manager).Unfairly with disiplinary actions. Unless you were a skilled tech you were not giving the opportunity to grow.
Client Advisor (Former Employee) – Crystal Lake, IL – October 9, 2018
Volkswagen I believe the brand is in excellent condition. The trouble is at the club level. There is a big disconnect from the Corporate trainers to the Club managers. A lot of politics that are involved, no growth plan for team members, and even when you work your tail off there isn't acknowledgement of club level problems.
Funding Auditor (Former Employee) – Libertyville, IL – September 25, 2018
I loved working at Volkswagen. They always provided meals since there was so much overtime. However the hiring process could be updated. I feel as though you were judged more for your interactions with your coworkers than for your work ethics and performance, which I feel is way more important. Some people are introverts and like to come to work and do what they are supposed to do.
Work assembly.line must hurry finished your part before next machine more to the next. It very stressful work place. People had weird attitude but it doesn't bother me, just how.some.people treated me.like they are better than me, or try be in controllable.
Technician (Former Employee) – Dallas, TX – September 12, 2018
Working on Volkswagens is a culture in itself. You have to forget most of what you know about diagnostic strategies compared to American and Japenese vehicles. so if you enjoy a challenge and are up to the task, this may be the place for you to call home. VW is many years ahead of other manufacturers when comparing technologies.
Great Team Environment, but Management is Horrible
Office Administrator (Former Employee) – Hanover, MA – September 11, 2018
The controller is totally negative towards every person in the dealership. She made it miserable to work there. Other than her, the team environment and my peers were awesome and the owner of Volkswagen was amazing.
Used Car Salesman (Former Employee) – Coconut Creek, FL – September 3, 2018
I made some very good friends at Gunther. Extremely long hours and not enough time off. You will work every Sat and Sunday! Commission is not enough on most cars and most leads are given to the senior sales pros.
Sales/Finance (Former Employee) – Buford, GA – August 31, 2018
