Interviews are sometimes unprofessional since some of them are conducted off site at restraints and/or outdoors like a park or outside the facility in the parking lot. How and where you perform the interview says alot about your company and if you're not willing to bring your candidate up to your office INSIDE the building instead of outside or at some random location then it shows you're not a very good company and won't be able to do much for your candidate not to mention lowers the public opinion of the company and lower your chances of getting more candidates or having current workers recommend your company to others.

There is, but they pick favorites for who they want in what position. It's more like a hiarchy since management doesn't really pick the person the most qualified for a particular position. For example a plant might need a team lead and they may give it to someone who can't actually do everything that that position requires and just sits around barking orders. It's more like a political game you have to make the management really like you in order to really advance at all other wise you're stuck at the bottom of the pyramid with no chances of climbing up the chain. (Also doesn't help that corporate doesn't ever actually send anyone to check in with things to make sure everything is run the way it is supposed to, and the district manager is just like the rest of management and goes along with everything they say.)

Overpriced insurance and no PTO for team members(only team leads and supervisors and others in that league get PTO).

Only get vacation time if you're team lead or higher up. Team members get nothing. Team leads get a week. I've seen my boss gone on vacation for three to four weeks within a year.
