No room to advance . Halter does not give raises nor do they match retirement. They state “we only give promotions”. You can’t do your job because, you are doing everybody else’s job chasing material. There’s no accountability for material

Management doesn't care about you and doesn't understand the job. You will have a foreman who arbitrarily decides not enough work is being done. The foreman (who never steps onto the jobsite) will tell your supervisor (who rarely steps onto the jobsite) to make you do more work. At this point one of two things will happen, 1) you can't do the work you are supposed to do because they ignore your requests for material or 2) they don't have any work to give for whatever dumb reason.

This is the kind of place that gives employers, as a group, a black eye.As a salaried employee, you are EXPECTED to put in 40+ hours every week. While you are guilted into putting in more than 40 hours (no, you don't get paid for overtime), you will never be allowed to have less than 40 hours, without using vacation or sick hours.I got covid from a fellow employee. I was told I was required to stay out for 2 weeks. While that was the _company's_ policy, it was unpaid time. I'm not sure about the legal aspect, but it sure doesn't seem ethical.Don't expect a good work/life balance. This is the sort of place that will take as much as they can from you, and make sure you know you are disposible. They expect loyalty, but offer none.Don't expect a raise, unless you make yourself critical to the company AND come up with an offer from another company. The benefits are the bare minimum, and expensive. Yes, there's a 401k program, but there is no matching. Yes, there is health care insurance, but it isn't good, and it's expensive.Don't look for much in the way of ethics here. The culture is not good. What can you say about a company that goes through 6 engineering directors and 4 engineering vice presidents in 2 years? Obviously, not a stable environment. All programs end up over budget and behind schedule, so the level of stress is always high. The company does not provide the tools necessary to really do the job. What prime contractor for the government doesn't have DOORS for requirements (or something, besides Excel spreadsheets)? For remote access, you will need to provide the laptop computer. Yes, out of your own pocket. My advice to prospective employees is, keep looking. Even if you're desperate, keep looking. If you take a job here - keep looking while you're there.

It was Great. Just disappointed that the job ended too soon. It was an great experience to work at this company. I am still interested in this job field.
