WaFd Bank is one of America’s strongest financial institutions, with one of the highest capital ratio among the nation’s largest 100 publicly-traded banks. We’re the largest national bank headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, with over 1,800 employees, 230 branches and $16 billion in assets across 8 states. Our corporate office is located in downtown Seattle just a few blocks from the Pike Place Market. We’re a full-service bank focused on keeping things simple. We operate three primary lines of business: retail banking, business banking and commercial real estate.

We ask our employees to "love what they do - then make a difference". We believe banking should be a noble profession.

Each and every banking transaction holds a deeper meaning - whether it's saving toward a future goal, buying a home, or making an investment in a thriving business. We believe a good bank understands this and provides a secure financial foundation that helps our clients accomplish their goals so that all can benefit.

Client Service Representative in Remote

Working for this bank through a staffing agency was a good overall experience. The biggest problems I experienced stemmed from the online platforms being down so often and the lack of communication from IT and other teams when this happened made it very difficult to help clients at times.

I have fun working at Wafd. Pay could have been better, other than that, i love working at wafd. Clients are friendly and i get to know them more with my working there for over 5 years. Managers are kind, Division Manager is a very nice lady if she likes you and i really do like her and her personality and sense of humor.

Pay is considerably lower than other banking establishments. Training is inadequate as far as hands on and shadowing with your "peer mentor". Proprietary banking software is antiquated and inefficient - three separate programs needed to open one new account.

there is a huge difference between branches. In some busy branches, CSR is responsible for almost all work in the lobby except loan, including wire, ACH, card dispute, opening accounts... soooo busy with WA lowest salary. After I transfer to a not busy branch, the working environment is chill. We don't have many customer so same salary but only few deposit/withdraw per day. The rest of the heavy work is responsible by PB. So it depends.
