$25.50 for a certified sr technician that’s the cap . And of course the only way you can get to that amount is years of working with Bad managers who you have to suck up to , to get an awesome evaluation . This company would be awesome if they were true to their policies of 0 retaliation and treat their techs with respect and better pay .. it took me 15 years to get to that amount and when your at a cap ,you get a bonus and if only you get a 3.8 score on your evaluation . The cost of living is going up and you can’t live of that amount and especially if your benefits are bad . I say run , run the opposite direction and get a higher degree . I previously worked in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana as a Tech. The starting rate with no experience is $9.20. Once you become certified, you can make $11.50. And when you become a Sr. Tech you get a $1 raise ($12.50). Over time, you also can get raises based on performance and your yearly evaluation ( you have to score 3.0 or higher). Some locations may pay more based on volume and hours, but not by much. In comparison to other retail chains, Walgreens starts Tech off LOW!

When interviewed I was told 11.50 with a plethora of experience in the medical field. I think that's super low considering some locations are open until midnight and maybe even 24 hours in some stores. Even walking in with a license. Looking elsewhere LOL

Hospital techs make more. It does depend on location, but over time is ALWAYS available. The money is out there, if you are PTCB certified. I made a. $6 increase once I began working in the hospital.
