Expect to be bombarded with emails relating to metrics and performance daily. Metrics are more important than accuracy as long is there is no STARS event. Emails from supervisors and leads questioning your personal life and family matters that could be related to you performance issues. Tech pay is low leading to high turnovers and little help. Metrics are a top concern from the time you arrive at work until you leave. The environment is incredibly toxic and stressful.
You start the day with things that need to be worked on plus helping customers find products along with cashing them out at the register.Alot of greeting and being a team player helping to get our shelves stocked and ready .
Walgreen is good company work for. The people are very professional and they make you feel welcome. However, it started go down when they started cut position to save money. It not same anymore and the is low.

Being a people person it was always a fun day. Helping customers and getting to know most of them really helped the day go by fast.
As a Pharmacy tech- you will assist the pharmacist. You will learn prescription data entry, fill prescriptions and be a cashier. You will also learn insurance billing
Greet customers, assist with finding products, manage assigned department inventory (stock, pull expired items, re-order items low on stock).
Hectic, busy and rude customers
It is standard retail, however the company keeps you constantly short handed and does not care at all about employees or their safety.
More & more metrics to meet with less and less help. Stressful. Techs aren’t paid enough, therefore hard to keep good help. Customers are always angry due to the lack of help. Very hard to be a “pharmacist” due to meeting “numbers” <—— Not safe at all.
