Pharmacy Technician in Ashburn, VA

Working in the pharmacy was quite the learning experience. Pretty much all of the training is on the job and you just learn by doing and asking questions. If you need to learn differently, then this job is not for you. You can be understaffed a lot which gets a lot of patients angry with you not realizing how many tasks you have to keep tabs on. There are rarely any moments to breathe between tasks but usually your coworkers are very supportive and understanding because no one else will be. Prepare to have no energy after a shift.

I’ve only been here for 2 and a half months. I love all the staff and it’s great pay. Most jobs don’t offer overtime but this job does. The only con is the call volume. Other than that it’s great, I’m ready to grow with the company.

The store manager is a micro managing nut case. Very narcissistic. The job is very easy and could be fun place without her. Great pay and the coworkers are amazing

It pays more than other retail jobs but still not enough to live off of. Especially considering the max for full time is 30 hours per week. If you just want some cash and don’t have responsibilities it’s an okay job, but if you seriously need employment to take care of business, skip.

I worked at Walgreens as a CSA for 2 years while in college and enjoyed my time with them. They were super flexible with my school schedule and during the holidays and summer breaks I was able to work full time. Employees get annual raises and there’s always room for growth. I was offered the Supervisor and Pharmacy Tech role. The CSA job is relatively easy, and it was a stress-free job. Managers and coworkers are always willing to help you out if you have any questions.
