Great learning experience

Walmart was a great learning experience, I learned how to stock, use cleaning machines, and how to do mods. Walmart has great benefits that helped me a lot

one of the better jobs

I had heard a lot of horror stories about working at Walmart. I will say that most of them don't apply for the personal shopper position. the job is very repetitive and slightly tedious but all in all its easy and it pays well.

A lot of workplace harassment

The job isn't physically demanding and there is decent wages and benefits depending on what state and location you’re work at. It really DOES matter what store you work at and the people you work with. My advice would be to find out if the management at the store you're applying to is at least "okay" and drama-free AND is following policy for the most part. Otherwise your time there isn't going to be mentally beneficial. It's not worth the anxiety and stress.

Pros

Free Walmart+, Most associates are friendly, Decent pay for Overnight Shift and Team Leads, Two 15s and 1Hr Lunch, Easy work, Good Medical

Cons

Retaliation, Workplace harassment, Gossip, Rumors, No voice, Favoritism, You get taken advantage of if you do a good job

Wonderful

What is the best part of working at the company?I work in the pharmacy. I absolutely love it. I’ve never felt like I was in a family at work but I definitely have that feeling working here. There’s no down time because of how busy we are. It makes the day go by so quickly. There’s so many opportunities to move up and be better in the company. I will be staying here for as long as I can. I absolutely recommend it!What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Like any customer service position I have people yelling at me, but I have techs and pharmacists that will help me to deescalate these situations and truly help these patients. These situations are few and far between though. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? There is always something to do so definitely fast paced

It’s a great place to start your work history

It’s a great place to start your work history towards something better, Management works with their feelings, is there’s something that they don’t like about you or you did something they don’t agree on, you will not have an easy job anymore, it not all managers just the one who feel entitled with their position

Good for first job

Some days are good others not. For a first job in high school not a bad idea, the pay is definitely terrible if you’re an adult not worth being overworked for 14 hourly

Decent pay, Huge workload

If you work hard, management works you harder. Pay is decent for entry level work. Co-workers are mostly teenagers who don't pull their weight. Lots of nepotism.

Unprofessional

Terrible management play favorites and don’t care to let you know if you’re doing good. They will only let you know if you mess up. No training and after giving information they make you work without training videos or training system at all.

I don’t think nothing bad about Walmart besides negative people but I plan to work hard there at the job

I think people would be caring and everyone has the up most respect for one. Another I feel like I can learn a lot at the job if they give me a chance and I can show them I work very hard the management is ok at walmart the hardest part was prolly just tryna not get in trouble. The most enjoyable part is just working there and minding yo own business getting work done

Pros

Do be free lunches sometimes

Cons

Very short breaks

Good place to work

When I worked for Walmart I mostly had a good work experience. I had an understanding and caring manager and enjoyed meeting new people every day. If you enjoy people you will enjoy Walmart

It's walmart.

I've worked here for 3+ years and I can say it's only Taught me to find the sweet spot of not working to hard while still giving it 60% effort. The problem with being a good worker is it only gives you more work if you accomplish one task earlier then expected (I.e working your a** off to finish something only to be told to start on the next thing the moment your done). Also management is hit or miss with the turnover rate, most of them are just normal people looking out for themselves but some are legit evil at times and seem to make an attempt to get you to quit. It's all just unfortunate, it sucks to work there at times.

Managers were jerks to women, picked favorites

They didn't care about any of the women working as pickers. Wouldn't make allowances for childcare. I was basically told tough luck. Two managers made quite a few workers feel like they were be pressured to quit

Lonely and tiring

My first overnight experience so take it with a grain of salt. The employees seemed nice but not too sure of the higher ups. Company seemed like they didn't care but when does a company care

Porductive

Working at Walmart has been a rewarding experience overall. The company's commitment to diversity and inclusion fosters a welcoming environment. The training programs provided are comprehensive, ensuring employees are well-equipped for their roles. Walmart's emphasis on teamwork promotes collaboration, creating a supportive workplace culture. The company's dedication to community service is inspiring, and participating in various initiatives has been fulfilling. However, the fast-paced nature of the retail industry can be challenging, requiring adaptability and resilience. Walmart's focus on continuous improvement is evident, but there could be more emphasis on employee well-being. Overall, the opportunities for growth and development are abundant, making Walmart a dynamic place to work, but the workload can be demanding, necessitating a strong work ethic and effective time management.

Underpaid and overworked

You have to work in all temperatures and conditions, you are very much underpaid for the expected job and management wasn’t understanding of lives outside of work.

Decent workplace

Decent job for while you are in school. The management is okay and the work isn’t too bad. Would reccomend working here as a first job or if you need spare money.

Stressful but..

It is stressful and the pay is not the best. However, they do have decent benefits. For the most part everyone I work with is great, even management. It's really just the pay.
