Wand is a growing company with potential.
Client Service Representative/Technical support (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNMay 30, 2018
A typical day at work would be about 30% phone time and the rest would be programming point of sale systems.
I learned about Access database, remote software and using macros.
Management was honest and fair.
The most enjoyable part of the job was helping customers and building rapport with them.

Great culture, but needs some work
Accounting Manager (Current Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNFebruary 1, 2018
Devoted to employee culture, but needs to improve processes to better the company as a whole. They have come a long way, but still have room for improvement.

Good place to learn
TAC Technician (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNJanuary 2, 2018
Good place to start your career if you enjoy working as a team and on an individual basis as needed. The call volume is rather high, but the teamwork is what makes the company.

Great place to work, needs better HR
Product Manager (Current Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNDecember 15, 2014
WAND is a great place to work, but is lacking in emphasis on quality of life for employees. Pay scales are 20% below industry averages for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Market, benefits are poor (and worse, exclude employee dependents from other programs), and there's no such thing as a 8-5 day.

Overall, WAND is innovative, fast-paced, and very fun to work for. Improvements in HR policy and approach would make them a 5 star employer!
Pros
Great Sr. Management
Cons
Poor pay/benefits

install Technician (Former Employee) –  Chanhassen, MNOctober 9, 2014
Very low morale and very high turnover with very low pay. I was told I would not travel over weekends and did. I had to travel for 10 - 12 hours and then still work when I got to the site. Worthless benefits and lying managers.

Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNAugust 26, 2013
If you are educated and a professional please do not get involved with this organiztion. Only the unprofessional, unskilled, stay at this organization. Management is horrific and software is horrible.

Dont make the mistake and join this place. I ignored the glassdoor reviews and found them to be an accuarte reflection of the organization.

Good luck and please steer clear.
Pros
its a job
Cons
life is too short to be mixed up with the likes of this organization.

You'll never get a raise
Prefer to not disclose (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNJanuary 14, 2013
They have annual layoffs where even employees who think they are doing well will "be made an example of".

You'll never make more money than you do day one. No raises has been a policy of their's for quite some time. You'll never see free lunches (unless if you are one of their pet projects and eat with the family themselves).

Horribly mismanaged. Owners can't get out of their own way. Manufacturing style management philosophy.
45 hour weeks are expected. Horrible health care benefits. Really they are non-existent because you're better off buying your own. Seriously.

Constant turnover. (That's why you always see ads for jobs with them).
Pros
none to speak off.
Cons
this place is cheap, cheap, cheap when it comes from salary, raises, to employee perks like... well anything.

Very high turnover throughout all ranks.
Unstable software which creates many problems when selling to existing customers.
