Inventory Control/Order Processor (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 9, 2018
1 of the best companies that I have worked for. Every week departments have interactive meetings to discuss company info. They found a way to make work in New York fun and not so stressful.

Not for Eyecare professionals
Licensed optician (Former Employee) –  Buckhead, GAAugust 8, 2018
There's nothing special about Warby Parker it's just the latest in Millennial hipsters fashion. Cheap Chinese eyewear managed by J.Crew employees and other non Optical incompetence. If you are a licensed professional i e licensed optician or somebody who has worked in a medical practice before I repeat this is not the place for you. If you're an ex LensCrafters employee that likes to have your head screwed on differently and needs be told how to live, how to think and how to do things completely wrong than this would be the perfect place for you. This place is severely unprofessional when it comes to Eye Care and I would not recommend to anyone if you're interested in learning or advancing in an optical career.
Pros
Cheap eyewear
Cons
Hi stress, long hrs standing

The place was non climate control. We pretty work at our on pace. Sorting eyeglasses and shipping and received them was easy. If they paid more it would be alsome.

Supervisor / CX (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNJune 30, 2018
This job is one that is easy enough, and worth having to meet a lot of nice people. It seems like it should be a 1 year max job for anyone that is trying to move into something beyond CX.

Great place to work!
Key Advisor (Current Employee) –  Grand Central TerminalMarch 26, 2018
It's great company! Culture is great! Really great concept and startup. Each store is truly a different experience, really depends on management and their core values! I've worked at a store where management lacked care and support for advisors, where favoritism and politics played a huge part; and where development was only catered towards specific people. I was a victim of this, where I was unheard for a very long time.

Then I've worked in a store where management is invested in my growth and development, that exudes passion. As part of the management team now, I am able to help curate all those development conversation and trained advisor when they don't ask for it.
Pros
Open to feedback, management
Cons
On your feet all day, pay is low

Fast paced Retail with great training
Keyholder Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 5, 2018
If you're looking to develop your customer service experience, this is one of the best companies to work for. Although it's no longer a start-up, Warby Parker still maintains a creative culture with a system of creating strong teams. While the scale of other larger retailers is missing, there's no real loss of work experience.
Pros
Snacks, Good leadership, Great training, Great for students.
Cons
Lack of movement, Low hours for PT employees, Fast paced with high demand for experience delivery

Who you know
Optician (Former Employee) –  TennesseeFebruary 12, 2018
I found the only way to advance or excell wasn't about your work ethic but by who's butt you kissed. They say there are no goals but each morning a goal is given. They have a lot of sales people or stylists but most without any styling and fitting experience and no opticians so all measurements, adjustments, quality checks and dispensing is on that usually one employee. The glasses were not of quality material ( not zyle but acetate) so adjustments were a constant thing. They regularly came in x'd (98 out of 100) People were constantly coming back to have their eyewear re adjusted. If you want to get ahead get in the click!!!
Pros
Can wear pajamas if you want
Cons
Young company a lot of problems still to work out

Easy going but yet efficient. Helping patients pick out glasses that are affordable and also look good. Relaxed atmosphere. Customers feel welcomed and are not rushed into purchasing.

Tysons Warby
Sales Advisor (Former Employee) –  Tysons Corner, VAJanuary 2, 2018
The new management is awful, warby needs to invest in people who actually know what they're doing and don't constantly run to part time employees for help. The company itself is a logistical nightmare - the right hand never knows what the left is doing it seems like. The corporate team is never on the same page as the retail team.
Pros
Na
Cons
Mall location has terribly long hours, breaks used to be an hour but with new management its been cut to almost no time at all

Great company to work for. Treat employees great and room for opportunity is in abundance. Long hours standing on your feet. It embraces the culture of individuality.

Good company culture
Operations Advisor (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PASeptember 29, 2017
Good culture but they don't really train their managers - as a result management in stores has a tendency to micromanage their employees. Doesn't really show a lot of trust.

Sales Advisor (Former Employee) –  Palo Alto, CAJuly 5, 2017
As soon as you clock in, be ready to hit the ground running. Being able to balance, people, your job, and the store is key. The best part about working at Warby was honestly the people and the environment.

Order Processing Associate (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNMarch 28, 2017
This is a great job for working behind a computer. You must have a certain type of personality in order to get a promotion. You need to be able to constantly interact with people or it gives a bad message to the superiors.
