COMMUNITY EDUCATION SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  Annandale, VAApril 23, 2018
Not just a job, a very collaborative environment where you're always learning. The most enjoyable part of working with this organization is all of the outstanding volunteers that are all involved in organ donation.

Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) –  Annandale, VAJuly 15, 2015
Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC) is a fast paced organization. A typical day at WRTC is assisting the needs of eight departments. I have learned a lot about Organ and Tissue Donation, and its mission, which is to save lives. Management is helpful, and my co-workers and I work as a team. The hardest part of my job is viewing the notes in donor charts. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to complete an assignment by sending outcome letters informing families of their loved one's generous donation.

Organ Procurement Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Annandale, VAMay 27, 2015
Evaluation of patients for their suitability of organ donation, having donation discussions with the families of donor patients, ICU management of the organ donor, recipient allocation and facilitation of the donor OR. Work 24 hour shifts 3 days a week with a block of 4 days off. The job is demanding both physically and emotionally, but the mission of the organization keeps you motivated to keep going.
Pros
Great benefits, friendly work environment, great mission
Cons
Weak leadership, long hours, little recognition of hard work and hours worked
