Great place to work if you can deal with the smell
Front Load Driver (Former Employee) –  Durham, NCJanuary 11, 2019
The day starts at 2 am and sometimes you may finish in 101/2 hours. The routes are overloaded with dumpsters that are kind of close in proximity to each other. The trash stinks really bad in the summer and maggots are always in the area you have to clean out.

Worst place I've ever worked.
Driver (Former Employee) –  Street, MDFebruary 9, 2019
Management is a joke. They manage nothing and are incompetent. Trucks are junk, 80% of the trucks they have would not pass a real DOT inspection. There is not enough space to write everything wrong with this place. There is a reason they constantly have job openings. The money per hour is not good. You make all your money on overtime. Which there is plenty of because they are tremendously unorganized. Stay away from this place. I also reccomend you do not do business with them because they are deceptive. They will have you pick up recycling in a truck half full of trash then take it to the dump as trash.

Helper/Laborer (Former Employee) –  Townsend, DEOctober 15, 2018
Not a bad place to work they hold bbqs for the employees every holiday and offer great benefits. Would’ve stayed but I’m unable to get a commercial driver license due to being blind in one eye so not much room for me to advance there
Pros

Helper (Current Employee) –  Street, MDOctober 10, 2018
Management listens to problems you may have on assigned routes but does not try and find a solution to benefit their helpers. They cater to drivers with problems. Trying to get a day off is rough with constantly being understaffed.

Driver (Current Employee) –  Townsend, DEAugust 28, 2018
The hours are very long and the pay sucks for the trash industry at 16.25 starting pay even if you have experience. That is very low compared to other companies in the same field. The long hours are crazy that you don't have plenty of time for your family.
Pros
getting the experience of the trash buissness

Easy job with low moral due to management
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Fairburn, GAMay 11, 2018
The job is a really laid back job and easy once you have mastered the systems, however, a lot of micromanaging, not enough employee support, low moral, no room for growth/advancement, pay doesn’t match some employees job duties (some representatives are doing 3 in 1 jobs but only getting paid for 1), hard to get time off and mandatory meetings that inconvenience you.
Pros
Easy job, lunches provided occassionally
Cons
Salary doesn’t match job duties, time off availability

The work is there if people are willing to earn the money.
It's only as hard as you make it and the money is good for what you are asked to do. In the time i was there i never had any real issues with the company or people who worked there.

Cdl b driver waste industries (Current Employee) –  Millsboro, DEDecember 23, 2018
No room to grow. Better be a cape henlopen graduate or else your at the bottom of food chain. Dead end job. Be prepared for the run around. Hard to give full effort once you realize your going nowhere. Empty promises Will not rotate helper and driver's . Relationship between the 2 goes sour due to this.
